Gene’s right Donna. Remember the Thanksgiving Dinner fiasco? At least one person in the Wallace household gets the dinner they like.

And to our friend Jasonsnakelover; if you payed attention you saw the “fin” message at the end of the previous comic. The Scary Movie arc is over. Finished. Wrapped up. Done for. So it makes perfect sense for today’s comic to be a standalone gag.

Don’t they have a Chinese place that delivers? I guess this strip is set in the past, isn’t it, as opposed to post-Covid everybody delivers era.

Dinner pancakes!

And we all know there won’t be ice cream for desert thanks to “Jingles”.

in my family, if there are leftovers enough for three days, you better believe that’s what we’re eating for those days! XD

Breakfast food for dinner is good! Couple eggs, bacon and toast, or pancakes, and waffles, it’s all good!

I count on certain meals being large enough for leftovers, absolute favorite is beef noodle soup with tons of vegetables.

Gene, don’t be ridiculous. I’ve eaten leftovers for dinner before and it’s not so bad. Except for leftover pizza. I’d never eat that.

There are soups/stews that are better than next day. Although you may get tired of turkey before it’s done there are some good things to do with leftovers for a couple days (along with the pumpkin and pecan pies), and this Friday I had corned beef – with leftovers for hash last night.

First of all, what the heck is “leftover lasagna”? That implies that there was lasagna and nobody ate it. I mean, come on! That’s not possible!

And second, can I have the “leftover” lasagna?

“We’d all rather starve, and you know it.”

He won that round.

Personally, I love leftovers.

What the…? What are you talking about, Gene? Of course people like leftovers. When I cook something delicious, why wouldn’t I want to eat it again the next day? I live for the days where I already have something prepared that I only need to warm up. And stuff like lasagna doesn’t even reach peak taste until it has been warmed up at least once.

Hubby buys too much food when we go out, but that means take homes for breakfast or lunch

Nobody eats leftovers??? Who are you kidding? That’s . . . that’s. . .so wasteful, I can’t even think of a label bad enough. We have leftovers all the time. I only cook four days a week, and the other three days we finish up. . . As a matter of fact, we’ve got leftover Chinese for dinner today.

Got to strongly disagree with panel #6. Pasta always IMPROVES when it’s left over. The runny water of the first-time serving has been absorbed and/or evaporated and so lasagna and ESPECIALLY spaghetti are MUCH heartier and tastier the second and subsequent times around.

Stop being such a diva and eat the lasagna your wife made! Have you ever made lasagna? Not easy!

Add me to the roster of those who not only like leftovers but live for them. One big batch of stew prepared in the slow cooker can equal as many as half a dozen dinners.

Two hints: freeze half of it, preferably in containers that are big enough for one dinner each; and never have the same dish two nights in succession, to forestall getting tired of it. Do up a few big batches of different things, and have them in rotation.

Lasanga is one thing I don’t mind eating leftovers of. I mean, it’s not as good as when it’s fresh, but still decent.

Me, eating cereal for breakfast: “Meh.” Me, eating cereal for dinner: (in a French accent) “Aah! The flavor! The consistency! Tres magnifique! No other cuisine on earth can achieve such perfection!”

Leftovers are great. Reason 1: I wouldn’t have cooked it in the first place if I didn’t like it. Reason 2: Good, homemade food and no pots and pans to wash!

Gene’s wrong, I always want leftovers, I love leftovers, it means I didn’t have to cook tonight.
