Yup. The thing about over drinking is that the hangover only lasts a short time compared to the results of an election.

Too much drinking and not enough thinking is what got us into this predicament. The question of “if the evidence proves him innocent, and he has the evidence, why does he keep putting off his court cases” would be a good place to start, IMO.

We need a moderate third party with the ability to win. At least close the border until the immigrants already here have found jobs and are supporting themselves.

Our real problem isn’t that the Reality Show Con Artist is an easy to spot liar, grifter, coward, fraud and corrupt unfit incompetent Russian dupe. It is that the majority of Americans are either too stupid, too lazy and/or too biased they are okay with it.

He couldn’t be an authoritarian because he is much too inept and lazy for that. He can’t even run a casino where the house always wins. He is not a real person with “beliefs”, “policies” and an “agenda” other than to enrich himself with money and attention. His world view doesn’t extend past his mirror.

That we are actually considered returning to his charade presidency is so absurd, it actually absolves him of the sin of his own election.

He is just the pus that denotes the infection and the cause is white resentment of people of color. Amplifying that has been the Repuglicans playbook for over 40 years and it is their cover for driving the tax rate down on the wealthy and onto the middle class. They have been playing whites for chumps and suckers and making them believe the apocryphal story of the WIC recipient buying lobster with their $162 a month benefit instead of the real story of how Peter Thiel gamed the retirement system to shield Five billion dollars from taxes. Repuglicans are playing whites as chumps and suckers.

White resentment- now you know why we can’t have nice things in this country.

Democracy is doomed when people decide to believe what their politicians say over what is obviously true. Just remember, a man’s enemies may say a lot about the character of the man, but their words are not to be trusted.

“A republic if you can keep it.” “Democracy is two wolves and lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote” Benjamin Franklin….We are a representative REPUBLIC with a constitution that restricts the government AND where the individual rights are protected against tyrannical majority rules…Drain.The.Swamp…

It should be “end of our constitutional republic” and not “end of democracy.” Though it’s less compact, it’s more exact: Republicans want to let Trump make himself king and ignore big parts of the Constitution.

We often hear the phrase “Drain the Swamp!” meaning D.C.

I rise in defense of mucky smelly swamps, little ponds and brooks, and damp places where it’s hard for humans to walk.

You will find more diversity of life in these places, than anywhere else. When I was a small panda, many a summer day was spent in such places, idling away the time, watching Nature’s wonders as they went about their daily tasks.

I will admit to little affection for ticks, mosquitos and gnats. Still, it’s their world, as much as it’s mine.

Rather than "Drain the Swamp’’, let’s use “kick bums out”.

Pax vobiscum. (That’s Latin for “keep your stick on the ice”)

Democracy in the United States has actually been in trouble for some time now. The current situation is only the summation of many electoral irregularities that have for a long time been fostered and/or ignored by both major parties.

Hopefully it will be harder for the election to be stolen, or to look like it was stolen in this next election. There will be audits that do more than prove that the machines could accurately recount a stuffed ballot box as a stuffed ballot box.
