My nose in a book is one of the best things in the world.

Hunky guys? All I see is aliens from the silhouette planet, who brought with them a number of silhouette trees and a silhouette basketball.

Boy, Bernice got bored with Nature in all it’s Awesome Splendor awfully quick. Reminds me of when I was a 10 year old bookworm.

If Luann wants to watch hunky guys playing basketball – she should have worn something a little more athletic – shorts – tank top – etc.

You know Bernice, Luann. She craves knowledge and learning and words. Human males don’t hold her interest. Except if he shares similar interests. Maybe you might loo around the park and find a male version of Bernice buried in a book?

Both Luann and Bernice are enjoying their excursion in their own way- nothing wrong with that. I hope neither is disappointed if that’s all there is, though.

I wanna spread Luann out on that picnic blanket and make her scream, “God, Yesss!”

At least Bernice is reading a book and not gazing dumbly at her phone—as too many people do!

Luann takes her time to savor the moment and beauty of the outdoors, while Bernice keeps her nose in a fine literature and ignores everything.

I’m all for someone being well read, but you gotta take a moment to enjoy and live the real world, too.

Burnoose is reading the chic porn, again. Maybe/hopefully they will pick up the arc where Burnoose and Cougar Nancy go to the book signing and find out the author is Dearest Ann❤️Eiffel.

The next arc is going to have Quitter Joe joining Mrs Horner in the Alzheimer wing of the St Pia Zadora Old Folks’ Home and Car Wash while Barry Hussein Soetoro fits his commie hand into his new sock puppet, Kackles the Clown. God Bless America!

So Luann has hiked up her skirt between panel 1 and panel 3 and is now flashing her bush at the hunky guys playing basketball…

If this doesn’t end with a new love interest for Luann gonna be a little bummed….Its been ages! And one that actually likes her please.

wouldn’t most people think that the two of them are on a date? It would be rude for someone to walk up and hit on one of them.

Once again Luann lives life by feeling the emotions that it offers to her in the moment and enjoying the happiness this gives her, while Bernice avoids as much as possible getting involved to the emotions of real life, immersing herself in intellectual life. Let’s see what Luann will come up with this time to get her BFF to let herself be involved by life and emotions. She has to do this every time.

Don’t really understand the appeal of Romance novels myself, but saw an amazing display of Romance Novel cover art at the Wood County Museum in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Bernice not only dressed frumpy, she acts frumpy.

This is funny today. Bernice is choosing fantasy life over real life by burying her nose in yet another romance novel. If Luann is really serious about embracing life she should ask the basketball players if they’d like to share the picnic snacks and drinks! I say embrace your reality and write your own love story!!!!!!

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here. Maybe Bernice is simply SCARED. She relaxes in Luann’s company because she feels safe and accepted with her. When she has to venture into the real world she’s not quite sure how to deal with people – she’s probably been criticized and put down a lot – so she goes to her safe place – books.
