I think Bernice went home to her family for Thanksgiving. Living with the DeGroots doesn’t mean she doesn’t go home to see her family. She is just renting a room there. And I am wondering where TJ is. He is an adopted member of the DeGroot family…unless he flew to South America to see his dad??

Why does one need name tags when there are only four (now six) people. Wouldn’t they sit in their usual places around the table?

And Luann could write in cursive when she was six (19-13= 6)?

And Green Bean Casserole! The least digestible food at any dinner. Sauteed with bacon and onions is the only way to prepare green beans.

Maybe Bernice is actually having Thanksgiving with her family.

Frank made the turkey? Didn’t know he had those skills…

Amazing H is Mrs. Horner?

Per Nancy DeGroot, Bernice Halper is a member of the family who pays no rent. And Bernice and Nancy formed a book club.

Once again in a cartoon about the DeGroots and the grandmotherly Mrs Horner, the Bernice Haters have to jump in. This is a nice tableau, despite the juvenile swipe at brother Brad.

Not much thought went into this. G&K are just treading water til one of them cones up with an intelligent subplot. Not holding my breath.

Greg’s signature is on a name tag, too. LOL.

Spoiler Alert – It will eventually be revealed Bernice is really nothing but a character Luanne created in her own mind to keep her company. Kinda like Fight Club.

Anyone else thinking that a mortality life lesson is the cards for Luann with respect to Mrs. Horner?

I’m pretty sure Bernice is visiting her own family. And Ben is probably still living there with the kids.

Mrs. Horner is the only person that Luann shows any form of decency towards.

Where’s TJ? He can actually cook.

I bet they go Funky Winkerbean on us by Saturday, with her dying in the chair with the dog in her lap.

Hmmm….and where is Toni’s name tag?

It’s nice to see that Brad knows how to cook. Living with TJ for years must have taught him something. With that name tag Luann let her mentor know that they will always be happy to have her as a guest, it was really sweet. Mrs Horner looks so happy.

I wonder just how mush PREPARATION was in that H..?

Of course Luann is patting herself on the back over the single name card she made this year. Surely a contribution on par with Frank making the turkey.
