ya know if you are going to be a mother that does nothing why even have the kid? not everyone is meant to have kids. there is Les but honestly i think Tiffany should just move out & i would not have even touched those suitcases at all. that’s what Tom is for you’d think Tiffany would be smart enough to know that and to say something. i wonder what would happen if Tiffany just said screw it and did stop even talking to her dad? would he even notice? i really doubt it cause she hasn’t been asking for money like she used to.

A common plot is to have the hero unjustly, repeatedly attacked by the villain, and at the end the hero stickes down the villain. GnK seem to be stuck in the heap-on-the unjust attack phase, ’cause the hits just keep on coming.

Yesterday, someone called it when they said Ann intends to use Tiffany as a nanny. Tiffany needs to get out of there, but not to go to the DeGroots. She needs to contact Simone at Souffle to see about an internship. And then all those who hate Luann will be minus one weapon to throw at her (Tiffany being that weapon). My hope is that if Tiffany goes for an internship, this will inspire Luann to do something similar, so all the “waa-waa Luann is boring” posters here can find some other thing to waa-waa about…

That mansion only has “a” guest room?

Ann isn’t allowing any room in her clothes for the expansion due to her pregnancy. Her shirts and pants are skin-tight. Yes she should worry about her own health but she’s got a baby growing in her and she needs to think about that too. Her wardrobe tells me the pregnancy doesn’t exist. That the ultrasound photo is an old photo.

Ann? There are 50 other rooms. Choose the one next to YOUR bedroom. That is, IF you’re EVEN pregnant. Bet you’re mentally calculating when to have that fake miscarriage in your mind right now…

I’m wondering whether Ann really is pregnant. That scan looked like several months, and she does not appear to have any physical signs of pregnancy yet…also Tom has evidently not noticed any of the changes either. I know not every woman has changes straight away, but she has already had one pregnancy, and is older…just made me wonder.

Which one is it? (1) Ann thinks Tiffany can’t get by on her own and will have to become Ann’s slave; or (2) Ann is trying to goad Tiffany into walking out – whereby Ann will convince Tom that Tiffany is no longer family and that Ann and the new baby are now Tom’s family.

I must say I’m more than a little disappointed Tiff keeps letting Ann use her and walk all over her like that. When Ann told Tiff “you can help,” Tiff should have shouted: “DAD? Ann needs help with the luggage. I gotta go to work now, BYE!” And then run—-not walk, but RUN!—-out the door.

This is painful to read. I really don’t like Ann.

Fear not, Tiff – Evil Annie might put a crib in your room, but there will be no baby to put in it. This will all start to unravel.

First things first. If Ann is found out and convicted, I’d like to volunteer to be a member of the firing squad. I have an old Remington 1903a1 that would be perfect for the job. And “NO,” Ann will not get a blindfold.

Second, “morbid hilarity” aside, I’m increasingly leaning toward this pregnancy being a scam on Ann’s part. I mean look at today’s Strip. What self-respecting new mother would put her new born baby in the next room away from her? Either Ann already doesn’t want the kid or the pregnancy is a fake. Either way, that is about as low as one can get.

Third. If this IS a scam, the LAST thing Ann needs is someone hanging around the house and snooping, which Tiffany just inadvertently, proved that she does. IMHO, Ann is giving Tiff these chores hoping she WILL leave and not disrupt whatever endgame she’s got planned. For that reason, Tiff should knuckle down and stay. And continue to snoop.

It’s really too bad Tiffany blurted out that she found that sonogram. She SHOULD have kept her mouth shut and hung on to it for a couple of months. Ann’s not showing now. If the sonogram is fake, she still won’t be showing in August. Ann wouldn’t have needed to use the fake sono as her “ace in the hole,” and she’d had never mentioned the “pregnancy” to Tom. Later, Tiffany could have used the pic to lower the boom when Ann least expected it. Or at least take it somewhere and TRY to have it analyzed.

Well GnK have invested a lot on this train, kind of reminds of the streaming series (based on what I thought was a B type movie) Snowpiercer, just bad in all but certain cars, forever running on endless tracks on a snowball Earth. Bleak. I expect some heat to come along, so since I have been nearly obsessed with this toon since the late 80’s I will stick around. You know old Luann used to be so innocent, but they have grown, the world has changed, and the story arcs get more serious, while still being hilarious a smidge. Come on Greg a guffaw, or a cackle in triumph would be nice.

This house is huge. There are HOW many bedrooms? Why doesn’t Tiff just move into another room? And WHY would someone with the money and space available to them that Ann now has, not want to do an elaborate special nursery for their baby? Tiff won’t be there to take care of the baby, she’s at collage living in there. Plus, Ann could hire the best nannys for her.

There’s a pattern here. First Ann takes over Tiffany’s room, despite this house already having a spare bedroom. Why dipossess Tiffany when there are is another available place. Now, when Tiffany decides to move into the spare bedroom Ann suddenly decides that this just the place for the crib. Once again dispossessing Tiffany. This is all part of a plot to torture Tiffany for busting up the sweet lingerie scam Ann was running.

Ann has been too evil for too long. This better be building up to a huge comeuppance for her or I’m going to be extremely disappointed.

I think Ann enjoys getting under a person’s skin. She’s going to try and push Tiff as far as she can, that way if and when Tiff reacts. Ann will be able to ban her from the house and from ever seeing her father again. Ann wants Tom all to her self, seems she’s more than half way there.But as long as Tiff ignores her Ann won’t win, and maybe it will be Ann that blows her top and Tom will finally see her true colors. Call off the engagement and demands proof of pregnancy. A sonogram isnt proof enough.

And in all this not once did her own father sit down with his own daughter to give her support and love out of concern for her. So wrapped up in himself and Ann, missing what’s even more important. So clouded and misguided is his thinking. Tiff is better off where she was and working things out there somehow. Why become Ann’s free nanny and suffer at her evil self centered hands who would not ever give a care about her. What’s the point. Time to be strong and never come back and go back to school and work things out with the dorm situation. Leave all that partying alone stay focused and be the business owner/creator she was always meant to be. She showed a flash of brilliance even in the small nail business she had for a short while. She got the raw talent but needs to grow it.

Today is the first time I’ve ever slightly considered leaving this comic. Been a big fan forever, but thinking that I’d be exposed to this arc for (at LEAST) a year, I don’t think I could stomach Ann in the roll of expectant mother. I’ve been pregnant and it was a lovely experience. Seeing her go through it would probably unveil such horrid behavior and advantage-taking of those around her, it would be unbearable… Not sure what to do, here. She’s such a vomit.

The house we’ve seen should have enough rooms to accommodate a family of 4 and a yoga studio even if you have a guest room. Btw where exactly were you planning Tiffany to sleep?

Ok I’m okay with this seemingly never ending scenario as long as when the baby is born he or she is a gorgeous little child of color.

Hopefully, Tiff will now take baby steps to get truly independent from her Dad and keep a safe distance from Ann, while waiting for the inevitable chance to be her undoing!

What’s worse? This arc with Evil Ann dominating Tiff, or Covid-19 lockdown. The hours seem like eternity in both cases. This must be a test of our willingness to suffer.

That house is huge – a veritable mansion. Yet, Ann referring to “the guest bedroom” makes it sound like, aside from the master bedroom, there are only two others. But I guess it’s possible that all the many other rooms are used for other purposes.

I’m almost positive it’s another one of her scams. As far along as the baby in that ultrasound is, she should be showing by that point. When my wife was pregnant with our daughter, she had a definite bump by the time her ultrasounds looked like that. Tiffany needs to secretly put her phone on record and call Ann on her tight clothing and still tiny waist for being so far along.

I’m not liking Ann being written as such a prominent figure in their lives seeing how she’s truly an evil person. Marrying Tiff’s dad and now having a baby? Is her dad completely blind or do they not tell him anything about what she’s done? I know it’s just a comic strip, but it makes the premise too unrealistic.

Getting bored with watching the ‘bad guy’ always win.

Ann is exerting herself as ‘lady of the house’ in her typical manipulating way. But she is a pathetic insecure woman who can’t feel good about herself unless she is putting others down. She is baiting Tiffany and I am glad to see that so far Tiffany is not taking the bait. They say (in life) “pick your battles”. Tiffany does not need this battle which would be a waste of her time. Unlike others, i am happy to see that Tiff is maintaining self control and not giving Ann what she wants.

Meanwhile, back at the Pibgorn site, Luda’s adventurous neckline has taken the plunge. Pay attention Tiffany. Give it a shot, Bernice.

Me too, getting very bored with this story line. Please wrap it up and move on.

This storyline has grown tiresome. I don’t understand why Tiff doesn’t tell Ann off, as in “I’m not your servant” and “I won’t take your abuse anymore”. And then tell her father that she wishes him well with Ann and the baby (if there is one) but she and Ann don’t get along and it’s best for her to stay away from Ann (for her mental and emotional health).

Okay. That’s enough. I’m so sick of Tiffany getting crapped on by Evil Ann. I’m done.

Why hasn’t Tiffany just said “No!” yet?

I’m gonna keep saying it until it happens – Ann is not pregnant. This narrative arc doesn’t make sense and G&K are not going to let Ann win. What would be the point? She is master con-artist and it will all come crashing down. I will admit, however, that they take Ann on weird plot adventures (Bookstore, works in Tokyo, then WeenieWorld). I think they should outsource the Ann plot to a writer who specializes at crafting villans. I feel they don’t know what they are doing with her.

Ann doesn’t look very pregnant for a fetus as developed as the one on the scan. Possibly could she be fibbing … at least until the wedding, when she,ll have a miscarriage and gain even more sympathy?

Tiffany should congratulate Ann on her pregnancy and tell Ann that she suspected that a few weeks ago since Ann is showing. Ann won’t be able to argue with that, (since she is supposed to be pregnant), but she will seethe at being called fat.

This strip presents two themes. Where is it going (if anywhere )?

1) Ann keeps exploiting her (faux?) pregnancy to humiliate/subjugate/eliminate Tiffany.

2) Tiffany getting fed up and leaving (to that Great DeGroot Room In The Sky?).

Why is she moving the luggage? Why is she still there? Has Tiffany been completely broken and submissive? The sad truth is that in this world, evil often Trumps (pun intended) good.

Apparently several things have taken place off strip during the two-week camp stay.

1) Tiffany has retrieved and replaced Ann’s clothing that she threw out in a fit of pique.

2) Tiff’s pique has apparently cooled. Perhaps due to the “lovey dovey” picture she discovered.

3) Tiffany has created a room for herself indicating a resolution to stay at McMansion.

4) Tom got a face transplant.

5) The rest of Luanniverse and its denizens have gone into hiatus.

Maybe the Baby isn’t Tiffany’s Dads???

So is Ann pushing Luann further out (of even the guest room), or is she implying she thinks Luann will be some sort of governess, sleeping next to the crib? As if…

I’m thinking we need a nice “engagement party” for the happy couple. Who shall we invite?

However, some still try to make the cut – such as Ms. Eiffel (above). She has come along well in her studies, as the number of negative comments we see testifies to. However, we are also keeping an eye on the focus of her efforts, Ms. Farrell. Repeated subjection to the schemes of our graduates transform their targets into one of two things… either a hero, or a student here.

Boy, Ann is very skilled at being able to get under a person’s skin when she wants to. At this point, I have no idea how this will pan out in regards to what Tiffany does:

1. Will she ever talk to her father privately about whats going on? (probably not)

2. Will she continue to stay at the Mansion through the Summer? (probably)

3. Will this arc continue next week? (probably not… I suspect Saturday will be some sort of clifhanger)

Overall…. of all the strips in this arc… today’s effort felt the most depressing to me.

Tiffany actually grabbed Ann and Tom’s bags to help after that demand rather than just walking out? That surprised me.

If the baby is real, Tiffany sharing a room when she is not at college could be a good thing. Tiffany would probably care for the baby more selflessly than Ann. After her recent personal growth, I could see her focusing a part of her life on caring for a younger sibling.

Why is it comical to have a grown woman continually picking on a young adult??

At some point Tom SHOULD see the unhealthy dynamics, but I’m not holding my breath. Even if Tiffany were able to get Ann out of his life, their relationship isn’t working. He just isn’t involved in her life.

Wait a minute, don’t they live in a mansion? In a house that big wouldn’t you think they would have more than 3 bedrooms? Tiffany could just move into another room or talk to her dad. She shouldn’t be made to have to share a room with her half brother or sister. (if it is indeed a real pregnancy that is)

C’mon Greg, this has gone on far enough. I know Tiff just stopped being selfish and started to get along with her friends, but then she gained 60 lbs. all because her dad started to spend time with more time with Ann. Tom Farrell should’ve known about her gained weight in the first place.

Instead of having Ann say, “The crib will fit nicely there, next to your bed.”, he should have had her say…. “The crib will fit nicely there, next to the guest bed.”

With the way Tiffany has been treated lately, it seems the latter statement would have fit in to the greater scheme a bit better. :(

This is getting old. I can get read the news if I want to be depressed. Doesn’t seem like the payoff I’ve been waiting for is going to happen or it will be too late to care.

Hey, i feel sorry for Ann; i couldn’t be angry at her if i tried. She has no real family, no accomplishments in life, no friends. She feels power by making demeaning remarks to others. Right now she’s a pathetic excuse for a human being. There’s a possibility that she will be rehabilitated through giving birth; just a thought that i know others on this board don’t want to hear. There was a time when Les was equally miserable and i was so disappointed to see his return; but he has become interesting and more human. BTW, Tiff is doing just fine and we should not worry about her right now.

Tiffany just leave. Begin the processes of financially and emotionally divorcing yourself from your father. Once you do send him a long email explaining why you did it in a calm neutral tone. Send it to his work email address so hopefully Ann won’t intercept it.

Please give Ann her comeuppance and get back to Luann.

Why wouldn’t Ann want the crib next to her own bed?

Let’s face it…Ann’s faking this pregnancy in order to get Tom to marry her. That sonogram that Tiffany found belongs to someone else (Or is an old one). One would think if she’s truly pregnant (Which she is not) you would turn one of the rooms into a nursery. Now that Tom knows that fact, Ann could still do that, but she won’t because…she’s not pregnant. Logic would state that Tiffany’s old room would make a great nursery.

Maybe Greg and Karen Evans will show up at Tom and Ann’s wedding – like they did for Toni & Brad. Hope we get to design Ann’s wedding dress. I’m sure everyone of us would be very creative with our designs. teehee

OK Greg, this BS has gone on long enough. We all know Ann is evil, but eventually everyone gets their due…or did you forget that what goes around comes around. You have yet to EVER give Ann her comeuppance.

I thought at first that was baggage Tiffany was carrying was hers as she was leaving the house, but I guess it could be from Anns luggage pile. As much as I would love to see Tiffany talk back to Ann and just tell her off, I like how Tiffany is handling all of this. She isn’t angry, she isn’t upset … she is just done. I do think the whole pregnancy thing is fake and was her ace in the hole to keep Tom. And I do think Tiffany should let her dad know that she slept in the guest bedroom since she no longer has a room to stay in at her dads place. Even though it is painful to watch (for me anyway), I really like this as a growth for Tiffany. For the last few days, when I have read the strip, I got a song playing in my head, Mindy McCready’s ‘Maybe he’ll notice her now’. The refrain of ‘She wrote I fell just like that painting, collecting dust on the wall. Everyday you walk right by me and don’t know I’m there at all. I can’t think of one single reason why I stay hanging around. She signed it, I hope that you’ll miss me as she rode herself out of town.’

The only way to get rid of Ann is for ALL of us to refuse to comment on any arc that features her. Period.

It’s difficult to tell which is more unpleasant here; the nastiness of Ann Evil or the Hate Luann club. Kind of opposite sides of the same coin. My hope (vain, I’m sure) is that the Evans franchise decides to spin Tiffany off into her own ‘toon (one in which she leaves for an internship at Souffle in Paris, and gets texts she ignores from her evil stepmother; a second ’toon is created for Gunther and Bets to fight over their ’fans’ (call it ‘Barney Google’), and the ‘toon ’Luann’ continues with Luann winning a Powerball lottery, bailing her parents out just as they are about to have the Fuse reposed, and setting up an anonymous Good Deed fund to help nonhaters around the world…

This has really gone on too long. I can understand Tiffany growing up to be a primadonna brat because of Tom’s lack of being there for her but now lets throw into the mix ANOTHER person to treat her like garbage. This just isn’t funny anymore…

I hope we see Tiffany finally walk out. This week she grew up enough to try to make amends with Tom and Ann. But then Tom disappeared and Ann went back to treating her like the domestic help. So if Tiffany leaves it won’t be out of spite, but simply because she needs to make her own life.

Tiffany shows remarkable restraint. By now, I’m pretty sure, I would have murdered Ann Eiffel.

Stop the sadistic torture of Tiffany now!

The only way this horrible nightmare of a plot will come to an end as if we all stop reading the comic and stop commenting on it. Greg and Karen are playing on our sympathies and one we are all disgusted with what they’re doing to poor Tiffany and letting evil and Triumph, they know that we are hooked if we keep commenting on these arcs in the admitting that we are reading them! Remember the whole season of Dallas or Bobby Ewing supposedly died and it turned out to be a bad dream this is what I feel this has been like. I for one have given up on this comic because in this day and age you cannot let evil continue a Triumph. Greg admitted years ago that he loved writing for villains such as an because they were so much more interesting. However now he’s just sitting back on his Laurels and repeating the same thing over and over as far as the torturing of the underdog. This will be my last comment on the topic and I may only check in once a month now just to see if an finally gets Justice served on her and maybe not even then. There’s so much evil in the world today, do I really need to see this in a comic strip?

Guest Tom Farrell is not the only one who is clueless here. Adios Greg and Karen we’ll check back in when Justice is finally served.
