And Tiff just dodged a mortar round. She’s now rooming with an ally.

And provided Tiffany doesn’t tick Bets off again, Tiff just might graduate college with Bets’ help.

What a motley crew! Des looks really satisfied. But not in a scheming way. She was confident Tiffany wouldn’t manipulate the living arrangements, and she was kind and direct. Des probably WANTS Tiffany to feel comfortable.

I can’t read Steph’s expression. Her drawing is very doll-like… almost like a marionette. I’m still not sure if Evans’ has used Steph’s role as a satirical character or even symbol. Like the Ghost of Tiffany’s Past? But I digress; I need to sleep.

✁✁ Steph could be genuinely surprised that someone would greet Tiffany with open arms. Bets’ excitement and joy of seeing Tiff, may have lifted Tiffany in Steph’s eyes than that ⛵ fancy surf and turf.

Now living with friends is dicey regardless of how long they’ve known eachother. But, Tiffany and Bets have brought out some of the best in eachother. Steph and Des are both… direct without being confrontational. But in 2 very unique ways! Certainly an odd couple. Let the shenanigans commence! I’m excited!

Was wondering if Bets would be a surprise roommate for Tiffany, and now that it appears that is the case it’s a good situation for her not the least which as a study partner. My instant observation is to see the expressions on the other faces, slight distress on Stef? Satisfaction on Dez’s part

I don’t know if this is the beginning of something good or the beginning or many problems!

Is it possible that Dez just saw a plan of hers go as she expected it? It was implied that Dez did not know who roomie #4 was but perhaps she just conveniently left out that piece of info?

Anyhow I suspect that Dez got the short end of the stick on that one though if someone can tolerate Stef, it will be someone like Dez. Too bad Tiffany dropped some coin in wining and dining that pompous and condescending Barbie doll. Somehow I do not think that Stef is going to have too many wild parties in the quad given the dynamic but we shall see. This should be fun, when is Gunnie coming around? I can see Bets and Tiff both go off on Stef if she makes an rude/crude remarks about Gunther.

IT’S BETS! HOORAY!!! I’m sure Dez knew this and wanted to surprise Tiffany. Probably it was Dez who asked Bets if she wanted to join them for Tiffany’s sake♡. Now I have the impression that Stef will feel out of place in that group. In any case. This is a beautiful thing and I’m happy about it. But I can’t stop thinking that they being roommate will push the situation between Bets, Tiffany and Gunther to explore sooner or later. Or at least, I hope so.

This is such a good move on GnK’s part(s). Tiffany has such a complex history with Bets and Gunther as individuals and as a couple that this move can go in a number of directions… and probably will.

Not the least of which is academically for Tiffany.

Stefi has got to be the most obnoxious character of any comic strip ever.

Bets was pretty angry at Tiffany the last 2 times they met. I guess that is all totally forgotten now.

For such a small strip, it sure has a lot of nut jobs!

Was this done to give some redemption to Bets.

This arc may continue for a couple of weeks. OR! End tomorrow. OR! Continue next week and bring an end to the remaining burning question!?!? Where will Luann and Bernice be in the coming weeks re College, University, dorms, etc.

Dang it! I was hoping she had done a Delta and disappeared forever.

This is actually a good spot for Tiffany to be in. She is friends with both Dez and Bets, thus leaving Stef on the outs. Both Bets and Dez are strong and independent, each in their own way. Bets can help Tiffany with her studies, as their majors are the same. Both are fond of Gunther. Dez can help keep Tiffany grounded.

Maybe Bets will get Tiffany interested in an acting career again. Bets is the social media person that could get Tif started.

Are all “Bets” on that this won’t go too well?

I just don’t see how the Dez & Stef paring will work I could way on this but i just don’t see it.

Nice! In-house tutor! Dez seems pleased. Tiffany is surprised and ditzy Stef seems befuddled that Tiff knows Bets. Lots of interesting storylines with this foursome. ;-)

Wondering why the sclera or white of the eye is drawn differently on some characters. In this group they all have brown sclera except Tiffany. Is it some kind of ranking between main and secondary characters?

Actually, after the summer romantic dinner success thingy with Bets and Gunth, this may actually be good news.

I’d like to have had someone who was less of a thus far constantly seen recurring character as the fourth roommate but I can live with this. I am remembering comments I made about the dramatically different drawing styles that Greg uses for his characters. I’d mentioned how Dez seemed the most realistically drawn of any character with a speaking role (I have seen some realistic background characters in school halls and such) and that Stef was one of the most unrealistic – as if she were a mannequin or a rag doll. I probably literally suggested how strange it would look artiscally if Dez and Stef were ever placed next to each other in a strip pane – as if they had come from two different artistic planets. Now they are roommates. Go figure. (I wonder whether, over time, Dez will look more cartoonish or Stef will become more realistically drawn?)

Wild prediction:

A bunk bed is brought in.

Dez, Tiffany, and Bets room together because after they get to know her, nobody can stand Stef.

This semester I predict;

- Tiff’s grades will improve what with the coachng of Bets

- Bets will be more confident and committed with Gun

- Stef will be jealous, so Dez will feed her excrement tea.

Well. This could be interesting. I wonder if Bets ever got her money back from the fiasco dinner. That being said, Tiff DID get Bets and Gunther back together. But… Bets and Tiff living together? Yes, this could definitely be interesting.

I’m glad Tiff didn’t try to bribe Steffi with money and I think she looks nice in a black turtleneck. Cheerleader Steff represents the old Tiff. She definitely doesn’t need to be regressing back to those days. Everything now turned out for the best.
