I can’t believe we have to deal with this stupid girl for the next two weeks. Luann, your best friend is a fool who wants to break up with a great guy, who really loves her and cares about her, because she doesn’t like to lose control over herself. She’s unable to speak with him normally because her heart wants to be with him but she doesn’t want to use her heart, only her brain. This is so different from Luann, that broke up with a guy she liked because he was changed, he started putting his career first taking her for granted and leaving him was the only right thing to do. I hope this situation will finally cause Luann to open her eyes, begin to dislike Bernice and go away from her. Leaving her to rejoice in her world of rational loneliness.

Nil is no alpha. It’s merely Bernice’s female hardwiring working in her subconscious, steering towards a breakup. She still wants Jack. Meanwhile, Nil keeps getting a little bit more. She is indeed getting what she wants, but not from the guy she wants it from. This has become a kind of classic Western female thing, but I am not here to dispense red pills. Nil is not on the good side of the so-called rule of 80/20, like 4 out of 5 guys.

That right there is the basic set of numbers behind “nice guys finish last;” they get “settled-for” by bitter wives. The ones with a lot of money just go younger, further embittering the gals who played the field and couldn’t lock down a guy until the pickings got too slim, or who stayed single. Welcome to the dating landscape of your own making, ladies. Equality ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, sometimes. The ladies wanted hookup culture, now have it, and are miserable, but are also reacting crazily to the thought of it being reigned in at the state level via the overturn of Roe. The point is that women have always had a choice; many modern gals have simply not made the best of choices at the start of the process, and thus feel the need of an extreme remedy.

Back to 80/20; the guys in the 20% have too many options, won’t commit, and are thus the men that many women on Tik Tok videos “hate.” (Chad won’t commit; or at least, not to them.) Morality cannot be directly legislated successfully, but an overturn of Roe would have much of the same effect, among some women. Perhaps that is the real intent of the effort against Roe, to begin with. Not my monkey, not my circus, thank goodness. At least Bernice is trying to let her upper brain win. That may be the object lesson that the Evans intend with this arc.
