According to ‘Indeed Career Guide", ’Personal branding is the process of marketing yourself the way brands do. Building a personal brand is an ongoing process that involves creating and maintaining a reputation so clients have a specific opinion of you and the services you provide…individuals who want to create a personal brand need to showcase a certain set of qualities that…differentiate them from (those who are) similarly skilled…’ Do those questions help?

    The stupid leading the blind.

People get “branded” by their peers who observe actions and listen to what they say. It’s called a reputation.

A person can try to “brand” theirself but if their actions don’t match, it won’t work, but it does look like a cover up

Tiffany is asking the right questions. They need to ask about the more questionable aspects if they really want to change a person. Questions that make them uncomfortable because they are about things seen as negative by everyone, but that people do anyway. I’m more and more sure that Bets will organize everything, but Tiffany will be the one who could bring this company to success thanks to her skills in evaluate others.

They missed the obvious brand for their site. They ruled out Biff, being the combo of Bets & Tiff. They’d get tons of hits by doing the short form of (Ti) ff & Be (ts).

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if some analysts and psychiatrists have created or borrowed some brand names or slogans to describe their patients’ personalities. Examples: "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, “Fruit juicy, Hawaiian Punch”, etc.

Is Bets really going to ask people if they have friends? Even if they don’t have a single friend, they would surely lie about that, so Bets doesn’t think they are a loser. Bets has bad questions, Tiffany has dumb ones.

The strip should’ve let Bets go after she & Gunther split over the van trip, and Tiffany is not interesting enough to carry a one-week story line, much less two (or has it been almost three already?).

    I’m skipping Luann until Sunday.

After ruminating for far too long on the BATUBS acronym, it occurred to me that G&K (and Andrews McMeel) would never mention in the strip a website that they did not have the rights to. So G&K are likely the owners of the domain . But 6-letter domain names should be pretty scarce by now. What I suppose happened:

    1) G&K decide to write an arc where Bets and Tiff start an online business together. They want to mention a URL in the strip but they need to own it so there is no liability issue. Also, they could possibly build on it.

    2) GoDaddy has a list (somewhere, I’m sure) of domain names for sale-slash-resale. G&K peruse the list for those that are available at a reasonable cost, that are easily pronounced, and that they can make into a business acronym, particularly those starting with BAT and TAB. There aren’t many to choose from. They choose and buy BATUBS dot COM.

    3) They find a web developer (or standard GoDaddy resources) to put up a basic webpage and host BATUBS dot COM as we see it today. They copyright the website. The JPEG of cheerleaders may hint at their first customer.

    4) Karen decides the UBS part of the domain name will stand for Unique Branding Service. So the business they start will have something to do with branding. She then writes the arc so the ladies will start a personal Branding service and invent the (unreasonable) acronym BATUBS.
