WOW.. I didn’t expect them to drag this out another week. But I suppose seeing Jonah pick her up gives it closure.

Hopefully we will hear how his commercial gig went and if he’ll be dropping her off more often.

Hey, It’s September 2nd! This was supposed to be over! This strip isn’t called “Shannon;” it’s called “Luann.” Let’s get back to her!

Kids get over things really quickly. Of course, Having a puppy is “Forever”.

The Prodigal Loser returns!

When did Shannon ask for a puppy, and why would she expect her aunt and uncle to give it to her instead of her father? And I hate to see a kid pout! Cut that out!

Well Jonah didn’t come in to announce for Shannon to grab her stuff and drop on a sofa to wait for her. He kneels and talks to her. That’s what a dad does. He might travel a lot but he loves his daughter. However it’d be nice if he can pause his career ambitions and find a job locally and be a full time dad for Shannon til she’s grown.

Hang on, did he not bother to ring/message/email while he was away?

Jonah better be careful he may lose his free babysitting service.

Wait. Has it really been a month with him gone?

Tomorrow Jonah breaks the news to Shannon that he has found success in this new venture but it is also forcing him to travel far away again to follow his dream…. He then asks Toni and Brad if Shannon can continue to stay with them through Halloween.

A coupla months ago a friend of ours since the 1980’s passed away an one of her last requests was if we could take her little dog. Naturally we did an hes the sweetest smartest little dog I’ve ever known. He’s allmost like he knows everthing you say or tell him. He’s 11 years old but he’s full of energy his eyes don’t have cataracts. Bein part Rat Terrier an Chiihuahua both of those breeds have pretty long lifespans so he shuld be with us for a few years yet. 15 pounds of energy and love. I walk him 2 to 4 miles a day never seems to wear out.

Some of th other dogs around here are near ‘aging out’ so we’ll be dealing with that some day soon. They all have special places in our hearts.

He’s dressed for the Ren Fest, again.

Lost my best friend and shadow about 4 months ago. Memories last a lifetime.

Now, we wait for the other shoe to fall—Jonah announces he has another “gig” coming up, and Brad and Toni will have to keep Shannon longer!

Did Jonah get rich?

As predicted, Jonah’s return. Here comes the conversation of how things went for Jonah and for Brad/Toni/Shannon.

Jonah’ll save th day. He’ll get a huge rambunctious dog that snickers whenever someone has something bad happen and from now on when they have Shannon they’ll have Dick Dastardly’s old dog Muttley

That’s a kid. Ready to take advantage of the moment and pile on the guilt. :D

Toni was the one actually traumatized.

The wacko woman traumatized Toni, Shannon probably just remembers she befriended Kim. Who I hope she will be her classmate this year. I’m glad a week is dedicated to Shannon leaving, because this means it’s more and more likely that, without her around, Toni and Brad will feel the house empty and silent and feel the need to have children, or not have them at all.

I hopes Jonah finds that woman!

My guess is this concluding arc will spend the rest of the week with Toni and Brad discussing (once again) about having a baby. Just had a trial run taking care of a child for an extended period of time and they were pleased with how it went. I’m guessing by week’s end they both agree to go for it.

Jonah reports them to Children’s Protective Services and sues them for Child Abuse. And wins taking them for everything they own.

I figured they head to a couple different arc with Gunther and Les, or Gunther and Bets, or Piro, etc.

Fashion tip for Jonah: lose the hokey vest, kid.

I think Toni was more traumatized by the spiky haired mom than Shannon.

Guess who’s back? Back again? Johan’s back. Tell a friend.

What a groovy cat. Go out and buy the kid a dog and leave them BOTH on Toni’s doorstep, in the continuing adventures of “The Fire Fighting Dimwits.”

Always let the kid speak from their POV. My then 5yr oldest announced that she wished she could live w/neighbor. “Why?” because kid has TV in their room.

Where is Shannon’s mother?

I wonder what Jonah thinks about this whole Karen situation.

Shannon illustrates the “Cardinal Rule” in Psychology…“People Don’t Change”!…“Spoiled BRAT”…“I Want, I Want, I Want, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme”…as soon as Jonah walks back in, she “Reverts To Type”. (Guess “where she learned” this behavior?

I still don’t know why custody was given to him, an itinerant muscian. Shannon would benefit more is she had a stable home environment. Was her mother that bad or was she deceased?

How soon before he has to leave again?

Now the kid has discovered lying, and a pout to go with it, and has way overstayed her welcome. Drawing is still excellent but the storylines are boring.

It looks as if making a friend erased the trauma. That shows the healing power of relationships.

Well, maybe not Toni.

Time to move on from this. It’s been a whole month dedicated to Toni, Brad and Shannon.

Jonah’s smug grin is almost as off-putting as TJ’s.

I was wondering if/when Jonah will be shown Shannon’s pictorial version of “the family”…and what his reaction might be.

Tragedy is different for everyone.

I think I know why Jonah has trouble landing a long-term role. There’s a limited need for 60s-70s hippie types in Hollywood.
