Calvin’s night has suddenly turned not-so-good.

Well, Calvin, you’ve had a nice life…

Wonder what would happen if they took Hobbs away? There must be consequences. Hmmmm.

The 180 Rule is broken very badly between the second and third panels, and the scene is completely reoriented in the confusion.

Whenever Calvin’s about to get in trouble for something he and Hobbes have done, Hobbes turns into a stuffed animal and leaves Calvin to take the fall all by himself. And yes, it’s always an idea that Calvin came up with on his own, but one that Hobbes went along with rather than talking him out of.

I love it when Calvin gets what he deserves for his bad behavior.

When that small, nagging voice in the back of your head suddenly becomes a loud, “Busted!”

Too bad that Calvin was not allowed to be home by himself, as it happened in real life when I was his age. I would have liked to see a story arc like that…

He really didn’t think it through. It was always going to end badly.

As his parent, I honestly dont think i could be mad at him. Was quite cleverly done. Thinking outside the box should be rewarded.

Now, not only does Calvin’s evening take a massive nosedive, but so does the Parents’ evening!
