Just for the record, NEFFA is a very real organization, well worth supporting. And the annual NEFFA dance and music festival, coming up this April near Boston, is really quite amazing and very well worth attending.

We need a law guaranteeing prison time for repeated bad puns.

I enjoy the puns. With the Sunday strips, I always read the first couple of panels trying to figure out if it will be a pun strip. This was pretty easy – some of them are a stretch, like Free At-lass. :)

Has there ever been a PBS where the characters set up the pun but refused to say it…then went and asked Stephan for more money to actually do it?

Having been to N.E.F.F.A., I was so distracted by hopes of dance talk that the punchline was extra good for me. Laughing when your hopes are dashed, that’s my marker for good comedy. Thanks Stephan!

I saw this one coming in the second panel. it’s pretty bad when even Goat is annoyed.

Generally speaking, any pun is worth the effort to set it up. This one pushes the envelope though.
