Well, she’s attractive, but I somehow doubt she’s really Quill’s type. For one thing, she’s probably in her early-mid 20s, so she’d be a bit too old for him, I think.

I’m not sure yet whether I like her or not.

Luann won’t be able to escape until she’s been completely de-tomboyed.

That sentiment is so silly. She clearly is a fun-loving theater kind of person, who likes people as is unorthodox. I have had the pleasure of knowing some theater people and they fit that definition, very competent, very much people persons, and very unorthodox. Just the kind of spice of life, and learning a different perspective on things that a Luann type can benefit from.

As I said, No threat to Luann.

Yesterday ended with giggling. Today Joker gassed (or at least that’s the first thing I thought upon seeing panel one). Thus proving that Quill is an exceptional actor (and on his way to Super Villain status).

The other day Luann was hoping Pru would be a homely, much older woman, and fearing she’d be a sexy young vamp. Turns out she’s neither.

Beautiful, and still cute. I haven’t seen a bathtub on wheels in a long time. Yea, I know what it is without having to google it. In those days, you could identify a car on sight. Now, since cars all look like Japanese catfish, you have to read the nameplate and you still don’t what what motor company made it.

Luann may get some glam by hanging around Pru. You know, Luann could have said, “Quill says that you two were best buds in NY and he thinks you are fantastic.”

You know, if I didn’t know better, I’d swear Pru was coming ON to Luann.

From now on I shall refer to her exclusively as Pru, rather than Prudence, to save time, because she is a stereotypical NYC motor-mouth who rarely pauses to take a breath. She is someone on the literary-artistic fringes of High Society, and all together not a bad person to know, as long as you have either ear-plugs or a high tolerance for endless chatter. I like Pru, having known this type in real life….

Well, well . . . so we finally meet Pru. And yes @denise calhoun she kinda reminds me of Dez also – in a wierd sorta way! Maybe it is the outfit.

Okay, just as weird as I thought she’d be.

@gazpersonTallulah is a good comparison. Pru is just theatrical to the core and pretty much exactly what I expected. A bit older than Q and L by 7-10 years I’d guess but hard to tell when someone glams it up as she does. I’ve seen 16-year-olds who can pull off that look.

Somehow I sense that she & Quill see notheng in each other than theater affectianados. Maybe Luann has found a new friend & will learn something from her!

6Pru seems nice enough, and is very, very talkative. Not really getting a good read on where this is leading at the moment. I still would love for Pru to sweep [bland] Quill off his feet and carry him far, far away from Pitt and Moony. But, the reality is that is unlikely to happen. But, we will have to see what sort of hijinks ensue. In my opinion, I think Pru is supposed to have a “theaterly” vibe in her dress and demeanor… which I think is apparent. But, for me, her hair style and her (seemingly) lipsticked lips make her seem more like a 1940’s era movie actress. I am not sure if was an intentional aspect of her “theaterly” look by Greg….but she does read very 1940s era to me in look.

We do not get to see the bottom of Pru’s necklace. I wonder if it has a boomerang on it, too?

A guy I met in college drove one of those (A Nash Metropolitan for readers who are wondering) from Georgia to Northern Indiana. Only took him 23 hours 28 minutes – with a tail wind. (His was mint green & white btw)

I’m with @Implausible here – waiting to see. It does seem, though like everyone got Pru wrong. As a dyed-in-the-wool introvert, I have trouble with Pru-troverts, but Luann, bless her heart, just seems pleasantly concussed.

Finally. The build up to this was genious and, as always, the story line in this comic is about as good as you get in 4 panel lit.

Quill! told Prudence how Luann rearranged a few things on a stage plot, won the gush of the theatre director (and the enmity of the original stage designer), and never again did anything similar ever again.Ergo: “(She) Rocks!”
