Tiffany must be there for dessert – all dressed up like a little strawberry shortcake.

A tie? Really?

Gunther looks more spiffy than I thought. The black tie is much needed.

The first thing she noticed is Gunther shaved. “Perhaps he is turned back into the Gunther that most everyone liked,” she thinks. I am kind of wondering that myself.

Tiffany says to Les: “YOUR schedule was so full.” Does that mean that Les is Tiffany’s main objective?

Idk about everyone who said that Tiffany wasn’t treating these as dates…she’s sure just like these are dates

Excellent drawing from G & K to show Tiffany has graduated from the Fat Farm. The degree doesn’t require you to look like you’re 16.

Oh and Les looks weirdly cute from the side, from the front not so much, but in the first panel he cleans up nice.

Is it my imagination, or does her demeanor seem a little different?

Gunther is over dress and Tiff pick her clothes from a roadshow.

She seems more interested in Gunth. Yet she has a date with the “giggolo” at 8pm. I guess his date will happen next week.

I don’t see this as being a date type setting. Her demeanor – as mentioned by Linnorm – “…is a little different”, if not a lot different. I believe that this visit is going to be a questions and answers session and romance is not the plan on her part. Tiffany wants them to do something FOR her.

I wonder, could Tiff have love on her mind…?

Naah, her outfit doesn’t hint at that at all.

Tiffany rocks whatever she wears, wouldn’t look so good on Luann. Or Brad. Or Crystal. Maybe Knute or Zebo.

Oh Gunther. You DON"T ever rush in, tucking in the shirttail in front of your date! It says you were not ready for the date. She took the time to dress, do her hair, put on make up and drive over and still be on time…and you live there and were late, with the shirttail untucked. It’d be better if you took a few extra time in the bedroom and finish tucking in before going out to greet Tiffany. Or didn’t shave – you’d be on time if you hadn’t shaved. You let yourself be heckled by Les. Lesson learned – never let him pull this kind of thing again. Might be hard – Les is a pro. He learned from the best – his mother.

The boys are taking these “Dates” much more seriously than Tiffany is. ✨

The look on her face says “You shaved?”

It doesn’t say, “You shaved!”

That is, she’s not sure she likes it.

Yup … both friends.

Les has a full schedule? This setup wouldn’t even fly as a Three’s Company episode. Maybe if they were still in high school.

Tiffany does seem somewhat disappointed that Gunther shaved. Hmmm… maybe a hint that she like a “rougher” image in a man. Did “Gunth” just shave himself out of the running?

Well…Gunther has at least held Tiffany in his arms…

And I’ll BET that he’ll find a reason to BARGE IN during Gunther’s one hour and 56 minutes.

Shaving is the signal paired to all the hearts…but…who are the hearts for?T doesn’t look have about stubblegone.

There’s something going on here beyond the ‘date’ aspect. Otherwise, it will devolve into slapstick, and the Three Stooges did it better.

I just wish they would drop a house on Les, I am SO tired of this character.

Shaving was a big mistake, Gunther. And Tiffany seems really concerned about the two dates in the same night. I hope that with Gunther it will be a awkward, romantic date.

What could possibly go wrong here?

If this is the reward for putting up with two weeks of Gunther and Leslie bickering, IT SUCKS. There must be more drama coming and it doesn’t portend well for Gunther.

Tiff appears shy and not so self assured. Note her posture in panel 2. What’s with those clothes – wearing her heart on her sleeve to the max?? And “_your_ [Les’] schedule was so full”??? She’s obviously here to see Les!

It appears to me she’s here to continue her play for Les. I can’t wait for tomorrow. NOT!

Tiffany looks disapointed that Gunther shaved. Not to worry though, it’ll grow back.

“Your schedule is so full…I was hoping this would work.” This isn’t a date. Tiffany is there for a specific reason.

Her seeming disappointment about Gunther’s shaving may not be that she doesn’t like the look. It might be that Gunther got spiffed up at all, like a date.

This outfit shows clearly that Tiffany is not a “plus sized” model. She looks only 10 or at most 15 pounds heavier than, say, Luann.

You have to know that she is inviting Gunther to join them for dessert.

I was too wiped out last night to see this comic, so it’s a nice pleasure to see it first thing in morning. I think Tiffany is a pretty as I have ever seen her drawn. She seems warm and caring, and clearly likes both young men, although romance is still a question mark. I like Gunther dressed the way he is and clean-shaven. Pretty handsome!! Les does not look bad either; Gunther is the educated version of post-millennial, while Les is the more blue-collar version, except now blue-collar means something different than it might of when most of us were coming up. Don’t worry no long historical commentary, I could but I won’t. I like this panel, the way it’s drawn and all the possibilities.

Pretty subdued comments this morning. I think everyone is confounded by Tiffs appearance and demeanor.

This is the big payoff we’ve all been waiting for??

Y’know… it’s a good thing Gunther didn’t wear plaid… he wouldn’t be able to stand near Tiffany, with all her hearts. Their clothes patterns would produce static charges, then sparks… and would probably generate repelling electromagnetic pulses….

Hmmmm. White top covered with pink hearts; pink pants covered with black hearts. Either Tiffany or Greg have lost their fashion sense today. Or maybe there’s some symbolic meaning here?

I’m curious enough to check actual physical newspapers today, if I can find any, to see if I can find a version printed in black-and-white. The pink hearts probably wouldn’t be in that version, leaving just the black hearts on white pants. That could signify something in and of itself.Whichever version, it took some care for Greg Evans to paste all those hearts in. He could have just gone with a single pattern pasted on, but he took care to make them look more like they were actually printed on the garments and follow the contours.

The “You Shaved?” bit is just surprise. I mean, why would good friend Gunther shave just to have dinner with her. Meanwhile, she set up dessert with Les despite having a prior commitment with Gunther. She didn’t break the dinner plans with Gunth, but she had no qualms about cutting it short right after dinner to get some Les time.The only drama we’ll be seeing in this strip is watching good ol’ Gunth get booted to the FriendZone.

So Tiffany showed up on time and Gunther is actually late! That doesn’t sound like Gunther at all.

This is about Ann Eiffel. It has nothing to do with romance. Tiff has some sort of plan that she wants Gunther and Les to be part of.

@TomSewell1: Since the hearts on the top aren’t outlined, I have the feeling that the artist didn’t actually draw them in himself. I think he just left instructions for the colorist to create them. (If so, major pain unless some sort of template is used…) For those who believe that this outfit shows Tiffany has lost a lot of weight: I have family members who get (unsolicited) catalogues in the mail for ‘Plus’ sized ladies, and the tops are all worn over the top of the slacks. That helps to cover unwanted expansions of waistline …

I think Gunther will have to grow back the stubble to please Tiffany. She like the gruff manly look of it.

Since this is a family strip (and sort of a prissy one at that), I predict Tiffany will actually demonstrate her good taste by refusing to have sex with Knox. And humiliate him by refusing in front of Gunther.

Gunther is the Considerate sort.

He didn’t want Les to see her with Beard Burn all over the place.
