The strip has been working up to the creation of a “bodice ripper” story by someone… ANYONE!

“Avoid facts”, TWO words that today’s ‘journalists’ and ‘reporters’ of the MSM have taken to heart, and have NO intent of ever using.

You know Luann is going to have to read it out loud or the teacher will – Even better!

Luann – It’s like you’re watching Piro in a movie. If YOU want to get involved, there will be conflict.

Oh, dear. She’s going to have to hand it over to Piro to read, isn’t she?

Luann no longer has any writer’s block or hesitation. She can write down what she feels and is happy with the result. Her ability to write is growing along with a clarity of mind about herself. GREAT, really great! I don’t think there will be a moment where students have to read to the class what they wrote, but I wish there was. Not for embarrass Luann, but because I hope to read what Piro wrote about her, if he thinks she’s a nice person or if starting from Luann he ended up writing only about Bernice.

Luann seems to have ignored that all Piro did was ask about Bernice.

One thing for sure, with our favorite character, Ann Eiffel, there is always conflict and tension. Among other things. That’s why we all love Ann Eiffel and long for her overdue return. Dilly! Dilly!

Greg’s daughter, Karen, is now fully writing the strip. Let’s all give her a big round of “Meh” .

Ah, this explains alot! The Career educator making sure her students “avoid facts”! Use your feelings……turn to the dark side!

Ha, as a matter of fact I’m not surprised Luann wouldn’t know you need those in a story…any story.

Lu’s gonna take Piro (or whatever his real name is) to the costume room for further assessment.

I wonder what Bernice would think of this.

Piro expressed concern for Bernice; he revealed that his real name is not Piro; he indicated that his life was taking a new direction. Out of all of that I did not get the sense that he was longing for intimacy and for someone to find him. Since Luann wants to be the person to provide all that she’s attempting to create that need in him. She’s writing things about someone that she hopes are true; it’s a little dicey. I don’t think Mrs Horner will read any student’s piece in front of the class but she may ask the student pairs to read each other’s papers and critique them, i.e. not for truth but for writing quality.

OK Luann you read yours to the class first.

And, if Piro doesn’t feel the same way about you, then you’ll know tension and conflict.

Luann – he was LONGING for information about Bernice and YEARNING to get in touch with HER. He was very to the point on that if you had been listening. You could have written about his feelings and what he actually said while still making it romantic and intimate. It’s a MEMOIR – you are supposed to recount what happens, not what your imagination suggests.

And Mrs. Horner you are a TERIBLE teacher if you tell students to avoid facts while writing a memoir. Shame on you!

For those who haven’t noticed Luann is left handed.

Oh boy, Luann is going to embarrass herself when Mrs. Horner has Piro read it to check accuracy and make sure that she at least followed the lesson prompt of following up the two answers he gave her with a story. Also I would have cracked up if Luann wrote "The alluring interviewer perceived that, when Piro beheld her, he was so entranced by her beauty that he had the longing to rip off his own bodice [note to self: look up what a “bodice” is after class…]"

Now, Luann, please read what you have to the class…

Luann’s reminding me of the infamous employee evaluation blurb: “performs reasonably well under direct supervision.” Not sure how far she’s gonna get if she requires a teacher standing right there telling her what to write (and then she copies their guidance exactly.) That’s not even getting into the fact that she’s apparently unaware that conflict is the very heart of a story.

Though I suppose we shouldn’t worry too much, as this writing thing will soon be forgotten, just like her theatre thing, and her singer thing before that…

There will be conflict and tension when she reads that aloud. Piro won’t be happy.

Oh boy! This ought to be good. Piro’s actually thinking, “Why did I take this class.”

I like what she has so far, but she has ignored the conflict and stress that Piro expressed AND she will feel soon. Every good story (romance) has some anxiety and conflict. She’s already in denial….yea, sinking soon! Ha!

I have to say what a decadent fin de siecle Mrs. Horner’s excellent teaching methodology engenders! Now in regular English (lol). Luann is clearly expressing her romantic feelings for this hunk in her writing, personal and literary, given the steam her prose gives off. Keep panel 3 yesterday in mind. So the end of the tautology is while Mrs, H wants conflict, Luann is only expressing well, HER desire. Conflict? Piro wants Bernice. When Luann finds that out, and Bern finds it out, I would say, TG, and others, there will be beacoup conflict. Kind of makes me wonder what will happen when the next Gunnie and Bets arc comes around. If any strip female shows the slightest interest in him, it could get bloody (lol).

Pretty good writing there, Luann.

I wonder if it will turn out that what Luann’s writing came from “Peek Of Passion”? Will this lead to Mrs. Horner recognizing it because, as some have suggested on this board (not by me), she is the author?

A memoir is a non-fictional, first personal written account of events and memories from the author’s real life. Memoirs (French for “memory” or “reminisce”) focus on personal experience, intimacy, and emotional truth. —memoir writers often play with their memories and with real life in order to tell a good story.

1st Panel – Piro is writing up a memoir about a Virgo and a dog?

Can you think of the trouble we’d see if it was some guy in a writing class who starts writing this kind of content about a girl he literally just met for the first time? That might even count as sexual harassment, since it’d definitely make her feel uncomfortable and objectified.

There might be some conflict when Ms. Horner reads the letter to the whole class.

Careful, Luann. Piro could be one of those benighted people who think that “intimacy” is snynonymous with “sexual relations.”

What if they then have to read it aloud, or let the person they interviewed see it, or something.

Luann told Piro that she is a Virgo and has a dog. That’s not much to elaborate on (i.e. in terms of senses and feelings) but since they violated the two item rule, Piro may have also written on aspects relating to their conversation.

I feel like telling people to write and then constantly talking while they do so is counterproductive.

Looks as though Luann is well on her way to her first, last, very bad bodice-buster! And the names have not been changed to protect anyone….
