Looks like Karma doesn’t disappoint. lol I hope she’s thinking about how she’s going to pay back Dez.

Stef is so overconfident and egoistical that she failed to notice the flirty vibes between her BF and suite mate. She is so sure Kip wouldn’t be interested in any other girl but her, especially the plump Tiff. Oh, she’s in for a huge deflated ego – soon.

To Stef, every topic is about her.

Stef wants to change the subject. OK – Kip is dumping Stef and he’s now Tiffany’s boyfriend. Handle that new subject, Stef.

Stef argues with herself an then loses those arguments.

Well, THAT was a quick turn around from the cheery greeting when she first walked into the room in yesterday’s last frame. And I don’t think it had anything to do with the flirting that she walked in on (and was totally oblivious to).

Yep – but given the trajectory of the conversation went – going from brght and cheery to admitiing she stuffed up… she probably wasn’t paying much attention to how Kip and Tiff were behaving. As usual, focused on herself

Reminds me of first time I took Bar exam. I’d asked housemates not to ask if I’d passed, so of course they did. And I just couldn’t quit telling them I’d drunk too much coffee ahead of time and didn’t want to talk about it and couldn’t sit still and didn’t want to talk about it and couldnt concentrate and didn’t want…. (Passed the second time when I abstained from coffer that morning.)

The comments and jokes (specially the tea puns),were funny and a joy to read. Awesome job to all the commenters today. Thanks for the laughs.

And now T’s Teas are to be truly tested to see if the “love” that Dez infuses into her ingredients will actually work to relieve Stef of being so “test-tea”. On the other hand, if Stef drinks from the batch that Dez thought might be “so confused” (see “https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2023/04/14”), might Stef likewise become confused and upset about the flirting that she has seen but not previously noticed between Kip and Tiff?

I just hope that Tiff and Kip don’t get all soft and talk that narcissistic b!tch into joining their business.

I can see it now: she’ll make all about her, starting with her picture on the package, and maybe altering Dez’ formula as well!!

So did her team tanked because she tripped or she tripped because her team tanked? Surely Stef is too focused on herself to really notice what others are doing and saying around her. Tiffany and Kip could continue to flirt without her noticing or stopping talking about her defeat, but they are too polite for doing that. I wonder if the tea will affect her. If it works Dez really is the best! By the way, where is Dez? is she waiting to hear the stories written by her friends Piro and Luann and dragged Bernice with her?

What’s wrong with Stef? Does she want to talk or not?

Stef certainly told everybody all they (and we) needed to know.

Everyone, myself included until now, seems to be ignoring the 800 lb gorilla in the room. This situation could turn very nasty. Tiffany and Kip have been very flirty during this sequence of Stefani Bird’s absence. The general consensus is that this will lead to a major flare up between these two. It has been a long time coming. This may be why GnK have separated Tiff and Stef in the quad dorm earlier in this long arc (see Feb. 17th strip).

One major question arises in my mind. Greg and perhaps Karen have history of keeping Tiffany miserable since high school graduation. Before that it was misery of her own making. Now it seems to be imposed by external agents; Ann Eiffel, Papa Farrell, broken windows, injured arm, being asked to leave the Gulag. I hate to jinx my favorite cutie, but this could turn out very bad for Tiffany in so many ways. 8^ (

For some people, “I don’t want to talk about it,” means they don’t want to talk about it. For others it means, “but I’m not going to talk about anything else.”

Is this the start of a love triangle? Cause that’s the last thing we need.

Steff, despite what YOU think, nobody is interested on how your team did that the cheer and dance competition. Now, maybe if you had made the telecast made for ESPN…

Kip’s comment and expression in the last panel tells all. i think he has been very stressed out by Steffi. Her absence coupled with the tea and interactions with others (that are not Steffi) has relaxed and opened him up.

I hope this will be a turning point for Stef. I hope she learns how to listen and find herself intrinsic self worth

Steffie tripped?? Was it a stumble or a full blown crash and burn? I’m surprised Kip isn’t more sympathetic. I guess the next time he gets intercepted Stef won’t be providing a shoulder to cry on like she’s done for him in the past.

If the Tiff-Kip-Stef love triangle is what we’re getting for the week, I just really hope that Stef goes full Soraya Montenegro. (the telenovela villain from the infamous clip where she goes ballistic after seeing a guy kissing a girl in a wheelchair. She goes into wild demon-mode beating people up and stabbing with scissors. Look up the clip if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth it!) It’d be memorable, that’s for sure.

Stef’s “tripped” reminds me of that poor ski jumper that used to appear on the opening to ABC’s Wide World of Sports as Jim McKay intoned “the agony of defeat.”

She doesn’t want to talk about it, but won’t shut up! Let’s see if T’s Tea has any effect on her! Will she spit it out into someone’s face, like it and want to get involved or throw herself at Kip? Today she reminds me of a few girls in my hs class, self absorbed.

There sure are a lot of people who think some big development is about to ensue. Were those people not here for when Toni finally tried to refuse Jonah, only for the entire thing to fizzle away and never get mentioned again? Sorry guys, but despite G&K making it look like something is about to happen, we’ll just see the can get kicked down the road some more. The status quo will continue as before, and another week will (and then a month, and then maybe a year) will pass with things essentially the same as they are now.

Of course if I’m proven wrong this week, feel free to gloat. You would have earned it, and I can admit when a prediction doesn’t pan out.

My head is still spinning from this latest character personality shift from G&K. Kip – the star college quarterback who was all about football (and probaby attending school on a scholarship), working out, winning games and banging his hot head cheerleader girlfriend has suddenly become…..a sensitive tea vendor??

My daughter once lost an equestrian competition to a rider who fell off her horse. I doubt the trip was the only reason her team tanked.

Tiffany has actually become my favorite character in the current “Luann” (after being a “love to hate”-type character in the past). My other favorites are Bets, Dez, Frank, and Nancy (these last two could be my age showing).

So Kip not only didn’t go to watch Stef and support her, but they didn’t text or call each other up until now?

I doubt she is thinking about how to pay back Dez. She never pays anyone back. Hopefully she will mellow out after a cup of T’s teas.

Hah. I have a tiresome friend or two (not close, as you will see in a second) for whom “I don’t want to talk about it” is a demand bid.
