Have I got egg on my face. I was sure they were never going to get there. On the other hand, with no lights on in the foyer I wonder if anyone else ever showed up (or were invited)? And Tiff doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry either. Hmmmm?

Fix it Tiff, make her the star of the party.

I’d love to see Luann and Tiffany give up their age old feuding over boys. Neither one is doing well int the boyfriend department for quite awhile.

Why is Bernice being such a bi@#$? Like she has room to talk about hair . seeing as how she has a rats nest for a hairdo and whats with the old maid apron over tights look? is she going for that cleaning lady look?

I’m guessing that Tiff is style-perceptive enough to notice that the condescending super-frump standing next to Luann needs some fixing up, too. (She might even be who Tiff is kind of slyly referring to here, actually.)

I like Tiffany’s poster. Tiffany is getting herself dolled up, but what is she going to do to Luann’s hair?

I’d go crazy in a house like that, which in the real world would require a paid staff to maintain it all. Give me a moderate house on a huge lot. But not too huge. I like big yards, but not football field size ones.

Why does Luann look like she just came from the gym? Not that I’m complaining, mind you….

What would be ironic is Tiffany glamorizes Luann like she did for Bernice back in high school and Kip goes “ga-ga” over Luann. Shades of Aaron Hill!

The mansion looks cavernous, and dark, and spooky. Tiff is looking good, Luann and Bernice are not. Tiff’s bed is big, but it needs pillows, lots and lots of pillows that you could get lost in.

You should take her up on that offer LuAnn.

Hmmmm…so Luann shows up to a pool party in a sport bra and yoga pants while bernice is sporting a leotard under a romper and BOTH wonder why boys pay them no mind. Ladies, maybe if you didn’t constantly dress all in black and hide your curvy figure, you’d get the attention you seek from the boys.

Now, this business about Luann’s hair needing a "make-over’ from Tiff.

The last time Tiff gave someone a “make-over” it was with Bernice’s hair-do prior to their high school graduation.

And I HATE Bernice’s hair.

If anyone’s hair needs a re-do, it’s Bernice NOT Luann.

On the plus side, Tiffany has given Gunther makeovers on a couple of occasions and they turned out pretty good.

Unfortunately, he reverted.

AH! I called it. I told Luann she needs a hairstyle change and to either ask Greg or Tiff. So, Tiff it is! She fixed Bernice’s hair from an odd curly bush of hair with a bow to this cute wavy style. Let’s see what magic Tiff will do with Luann’s!

Bernice was worried about being late but if a lot of parties are said to start at 8, for instance, most people do not show up until 9 or so. Casually late as no one wants to be the first to arrive or the last to leave. Thus they might be the first to arrive. It might be a small group as well. Who else may habe been invited? Ox and Les, Bets and Gunther if they are still in town? Of course, Kip should be there as well. Not sure if Tiff would invite the Mooney Hall A gang or Jack, but perhaps…….

Yes, YES.., ABSOLUTELY YES!!! Go Tiffany! Gives Luann a new hairstyle!!! And then, please, do the same with yourself. Despite all Bernice’s haste, the party hasn’t even started yet. That’s right, I honestly can’t remember a college party that starts on time. It seems weird to me that Luann and Bernice have never been in Tiffany’s mansion. I remember a middle school party where Luann and Tiffany had a furious fight, but it was in a normal house, not the mansion. Maybe a rented place or another house the Farrell had in town? First time or not, let’s hope it’s not the last, especially for Luann. Bernice will probably be banned After trying to psychoanalyze Tiffany, Kip and all the unfortunate people around her.

With hair all mangled and hardly stylish, Bernice is in no place to criticize Luann’s.

OH come on … being on time is something we boomers are afflicted with. Doesn’t the current generation view timeliness as an example of white, eurocentric, male sensibilities being inflicted on the rest of the world?

What’s the big deal about the time? If I’m on time for a party, I wait for 10 minutes before ringing the bell, because you should NEVER show up early, and the host might need a few extra minutes.

And Luann’s hair looks fine. And it’s a pool party. It’s going to get wet. Who cares about styling your hair before a pool party?

I wonder if Kip was invited. He probably has a job or something else to do and won’t even be there.

Just reminiscing… A few scenes from their HS senior pool party … as Crystal said to Knute “Do I look like someone that wants to get wet?” Will any of the girls swim at Tiff’s pool party? Or will they just lounge and boy watch … Kip, Jack, Ox, and ? Hoping TJ is catering and Tiff’s got a tropical theme going on with decorations.

Hard to believe it was 10 years ago (our time) they graduated from HS, but it’s only 2 years ago (Luanniverse time – they’ve been in college 2 years now).

So far, so good. Plenty of comments about 1. swimwear and cartoon cleavage. 2. How awful Bernice is. Now, if there are other guests tomorrow, we can move on to 3. “where are Knute and Crystal?” (That could be Crystal at the computer. Or Delta or Rosa or Ann Eiffel or Aaron Hill.)

Tiff and Luann have known each other forever, it seems. I can’t believe this is the first time they’ve been in the mansion.

If it isn’t an optical illusion, that person at the computer may be Steff. She never left, but is checking the house security cameras! ;-D

This is one of the most promising arcs in decades actually. The frenemies are, for real, friends. In my urban experience (some of you were raised in rural or town but my theory applies to all three) kids who grow up together, who might not be in the same crowd, or whatever, in high school, can be closer, when they get out of high school. In Luannverse, other than Delta, who is off becoming a federal judge or something, the original cast are like that, with the addition, beneficially in my mind, of Bets and Tara, female, Jack and Nil, male. Having the girls come up to “her” bedroom is thus HUGE for all three, and I hope Tiff works on both. Bern is hot too, she just doesn’t know it, or knowing it, is not confident, so puts on snarkface to the world. What happens next though is bound to be (I hope) wacky, hilarity ensues.

Maybe Tiff is offering Luanne an olive branch?

Haven’t both Bern and Lu been in/at Tiff’s house before? I thought they had.

To be sure Luann was the first to use the word stupid on her hair, saying she had stupid hair which Bern is twisting around to say her hair looks stupid.

Bernice is working hard to defend her title of “most unlikable character in the funny pages” that she won last year (I’m not kidding either: there was a poll and Bernice won by a mile). Wilbur Weston has been pretty quiet lately so she might have it locked down.

Luann says a fish WAS starving. Did they buy the food and then go home to feed the fish?

Anyway, I like how Bernice saying that Luann’s hair is a mess because of a starving fish, like out of nowhere big, hungry fish jumped out of the water and sucked on Luann’s hair and made it look that way.

Are they supposed to be attending the party or working the party? They’re early and dressed like part of the set up crew.

Has anyone else had a problem with staying signed in to GoComics? I used to stay locked in for long periods of several days. Now I only get several hours! I’m getting sick and tired of having to sign in every single time I look at my comics. I hope they get this fixed soon!!!!!!!!

Tiff’s “almost ready,” so I guess that the other guests haven’t shown up yet, or, are all already outside by the pool.

Will Lulu and Bernie be physically fighting each other before this arc is done and finished? (Nah, not likely, from our authors….)
