It confuses me that it says “Happy new year,” as if it were intended to run Sunday December 31 last year, but the dating “2-4” clearly shows it’s meant for today.

I hope they mean Lunar New Year, otherwise the calendar is way off

Syndicated comic strips are notorious for having 4 to 6-week lead times on Sunday strips, much longer than for the daily ones. It’s not hard to guess more or less when this one was drawn.

You forgot Bernice’s sponging relatives—who drove her to move in with the DeGroots and try to run their lives.

“Luanne” a great comic strip I’ve been reading it for years. A little late on todays arc though.

I want to see a surprise visit from Delta.

I thought TJ was part owner of Kafe Kablooie.

Mrs. Horner is 92? Why is she still teaching? Teachers get a pension.

I have prosopagnosia, and I find the Luann characters to be different enough that I don’t have trouble identifying them. I wish, say, Heart was this easy.

Being relatively new to the strip, that chart helps.

Luann Comics was added to our local paper, The Greenville News a couple of weeks ago along with other dailies. I was wondering how they were going to catch there readers up to date.

OK guys. Cut out this page and save it for later reference on who is who, and who is related to who.

I wonder if Tiffany is only going to be in dorm related story arcs this year and none with the Fuse? It seems a line could have been drawn to her from the Fuse too since she works (worked?) there?

Dunno if this page of explanations was necessary, but it’s nice to see all the characters together. I like the rought style in which it’s made and the Happy New Year greetings are always nice, even when a month has already passed. But I can’t stop to wonder if this page was made for be published a month ago and then there was a mistake.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could vote some of these off the Island so to speak? I’d quickly nix Bets and Gun (I’m sick to death of their toxic relationship drama) and Kip and Stef (these two are gross, full stop) and Jack and Nil (I’m not forgiving them for the creep behavior in the modeling session) and Irma and Al (seriously, I think everyone’s done with ’em at this point with their meddling. Boot ’em out!)

… Then I’d bring back Crystal, Knute, and Delta cause they were likable. I feel like college Delta could be interesting if she does a Rory Gilmore and ends up feeling she didn’t end up living up to her aspirations and needed to re-center herself.

So… Is Delta just permanently gone?

Brad and Toni might as well adopt Shannon since the father is never around.

Several (not all—Pru, Ann, Knute, Crystal) of the characters some people are asking about still appear on the character bio page. Some in today’s comic (Stef and Kip) do not. It’s out of date in other ways too, such as describing Bernice as being a dorm RA. Seems like a good idea to update it.

I’m still getting Xmas letters so I guess this makes as much sense as that. Note to self – finish 2022 Xmas letter and send it.

This would have been a good place to squeeze in discontinued characters as well. Gone but not forgotten.
