HOORAY! It’s Starfish Squeaker! Yes, she’s been through some stuff, and now She’s perfect! Gutter, you ARE the hero we all needed.

And a mighty cheer arises from the Orb! Li’l Starfish Squeaker is SAVED!!! (and sparkly!)

Just as we suspected, Gutter was bringing Starfish Squeaker! Now, if we can just figure a way to get her inside the house . . . any mice around?

Gosh, those inferior blurry screens are everywhere these days!

YESSSS! L’il Starfish Squeaker!!!!!!

This has been an amazing week so far! Now, are we going to see the Warrior Mice tomorrow so we can tie up ALL the loose ends? Or is that going to be the story next week!

Gutter knows how to woo his lady.

Starfish Squeaker seems incredibly happy to 1) be reunited with Sophie and 2) to be all colorful and glittery.

I see Gutter is wearing his everyday eating utensil epaulets.

As someone who has been known to leave cat toys out for raccoons, I can certify that Lil Starfish Squeaker has almost certainly seen some stuff. In addition to being dowsed in condiments and glitter, she’s been dragged halfway across town through the hidden spaces!

Raccoons themselves aren’t huge fans of stuffies, strangely preferring hard smooth things like metal and ceramic. Ours are currently playing with a wind-up frog swimming pool toy, a kitchen drawer pull, and a green led spinning fidget toy (batteries removed.) of those we are responsible for the pool toy. The others just appeared.

He means he had to raid the house again?

To those here who predicted this would happen or said that it should happen, good show

Sophie has been thinking/worrying about Gutter. I want to see her journal.

Sophie deserves happiness. The starfish and Gutter do as well.

I love it when things come together.

Yay! Altho I do wish he stayed around. It could be the start of a beautiful friendship. And down the road….well…

I love that we can see a bit of Starfish Squeaker just behind Gutter in the second panel.

Gutter has won our hearts as well as Sophie’s. I was hoping he might have nabbed L’il Starfish Squeaker on the way out of the Tidy house.

And L’il Starfish Squeaker has been through some stuff, just like Sophie.

We’ve ALL “been through some stuff” while following this epic tale!!!

First, I gasped (scared Beau!) and then I started crying. Happy tears, but it’s been a long week around here so this is the thing that’s made my week and everything that went on, worth it. I love BCN and Georgia’s ability to pull our emotions out of us with the flick of a watercolor brush.

Elvis-Anum: Yes. Soph and I went out yesterday with Iggy and the Water Cat Brothers to get pearls.

Agnes: So you got bonked with pearls?

Elvis: It wasn’t so bad. We all took turns. And we got some lovely pearls. I thought maybe The Royal Procurers got pearls from Where We Know Not.

Agnes: We do, sometimes. But Sophititi likes to go for a sail every now and then. Nothing like a bit of fresh sea air.

Elvis: So will you and the ladies be coming to the Just Because Banquet?

Agnes: Yes. We’ll be going on a, uh shopping run for Thomios.

Elvis: Of course.

I’m glad Lil Starfish Squeaker and Sophie are to be reunited. Thank you, Gutter.

Was this Georgia’s plan all along, to have Sophie and Li’l Starfish Squeaker reunited?

Okay everyone! One, two, three…AaaaaWwwwww!

Y’know, the usual stuff—traveled the world, did some self-discovery, lost some weight, got a tattoo, had a brief fling with squeak toy tuna, but then ultimately decided there was no place like home…you know the drill. :P

How will Squeaky Starfish get into the house?

Taking bets on how many months LSS will be trailing glitter around the place.

Gutter: “Now stand back while I rip a hole in this screen so I can give Starfish Squeaker to you.”

Sophie: “Oh thank you Gutter. You know I sure hope I don’t fall out of the hole you put in the screen. I wouldn’t want to do that all over again.”

Gutter: “I should hope not Sophie. This story line has gone on for almost two and a half months, That’s like a year in cat lives and almost seven years in Raccoon lives.” (Raccoons only live 2-3 years on average in the wild but can live up to 20 years in captivity)

Gutter: “Well Goodbye Sophie, I have to go raid the trashcan at that Tidy Ladies house. I hear they are having steak tonight and they always throw out their leftovers so as to not clutter up the refrigerator.”

Yay for Gutter! Yay for Sophie! Yay for Lil Starfish Squeaker! Sophie has really come into her own power in this series. And, Gutter had successfully won her heart with his gallant bravery in working to rescue her (though I do love that she ended up having to rescue him). LSS is a symbol of their adventure, and their new-found relationship. What a sweet thank-you gift from Gutter! He saw the amazing cat that she is all along. Now she sees it, too!

OT: Not just in threes – enough already!

I guess Sophie has decided that Squeaker is a girl. So that puts the gender question to rest.

Makes my day to see Glittery Starfish Squeaker and Sophie reunited and thanks to Gutter! He and Sophie are such a great pair!

She’s been through some stuff but is as happy, if not happier than ever.

OT:

I’m probably reading WAY too much into this, but Georgia always conveys so much with her facial expressions and body language. Gutter is gently smiling down at L’il Starfish Squeaker and has that little raised eyebrow. To me, it feels like he is conveying that LSS is even more precious than before because she has “been through some stuff” and is different. He is maybe implying that now Sophie has been through some stuff too and come out on the other side a little bit bolder and less anxious. The kitty who feared change has faced it head on, and has been changed, and he finds her even more beautiful. =sigh= I love this strip.

“Chew Toy With Squeaker For Dogs” was the closest to a real life version of Li’l Starfish Squeaker that I could find online. It’s not a perfect match tho.

Of course our li’l friend is unique now with colors and sparkles—a member of the glitterati!

I just noticed that Georgia, once again <3 , gave identical smiles to Sophie and Gutter here, as they meet up . It’s like their body language is showing how closely they have bonded. They both look extremely happy to see each other. Yay!
