It is disgraceful what is happening in Springfield OH, over this unsubstantiated claim that the town’s Haitian community is stealing and eating pets! The person who initially posted that claim had retracted it, saying she didn’t know it would go this far. But that hasn’t stopped Trump and Vance from doubling down on it on the campaign trail. Now schools, hospitals and government buildings are receiving bomb threats and it’s just a matter of time that someone in Springfield (who had adopted the all too American belief that infamy is better than anonymity) might actually plant a bomb somewhere and not tell anyone about it until its detonated. IDK how we will turn that situation around in Springfield, but it shows that we have to stop pussyfooting around the MAGA crowd and turn out strongly in November!

This is the second week in a row that the Dallas (a blue spot in Texas) newspaper has run an alternate, apolitical, strip, not the one that appears on this page. Seems smart, considering the fuss that ensued when Mallard Fillmore was discontinued because of complaints about editorial content on the comics page.
