Greg did a pretty good job drawing her. Even if she didn’t say a word, she still looks downright nasty.

If this was a tv show, this awful woman would have a house fire or accident and be saved by one of these “bad parents”.

With any luck, Kim will be in Shannon’s class at school.

Wow….insulting, judgmental, condescending….who’s the child again? I don’t wish death on such cruel people, and I never will. But at the same time, I know these are the types of people no one will miss when they are gone.

I love this new character. I hope that like Nancy in Fritzi Ritz, eventually she becomes the whole comic. Luann had a good run but Stress Mom is a breakout.

You can easily see that Shannon and Toni are aunt and niece, probably Toni used to be a lot like Shannon as a child. The way Shannon shuts up the annoying madam is amazing. Unfortunately, this will make it very difficult for her to see her new friend Kim again, which is a shame.

In the final panel you can see in the girl’s face disappointment. She has probably gone through this before. I wonder if, in the storyline it comes out Karen is physically abusing her.

I suppoze it’s no surprize that Kim is so mature. Living with an oversized child like that, she’d have been forced to grow up quickly.

I know that both Brad & Toni received basic medical training as part of their firefighting but didn’t Brad work as an EMT once? I think it was the arc where he was let go from the force due to budget restraints. Anyone remember that?

I wouldn’t get into it with Toni. She’s a firefighter and can be tough!

The big As will likely have a visit from firefighters in the future who will save her big As or perhaps her child’s. Than our hero children who are wiser than some adults will be able to be friends! In a more positive world.

There is no reasoning with a person like this. Walking away is one option. Shannon had her say, which, although true, didn’t help. I would like to see Shannon and Kim insist on playing together, but both “momma bears” are keyed up.

So where in society did people like this get the idea that they could act like this. People used to keep their mouths shut and move on.
