So why didn’t Jonah just stay where he was till he finds a new place to live? Why would you have the hassle of moving in with Rudy and then moving all over again to your new place? Doesn’t make much sense to me.

Toni will definitely miss Shannon. She clearly was anxious to let her stay a little longer.

The one thing that does bug me a little.. They never acknowledged the wonderful posters Shannon made for them,

This is an example of the soap operaish arcs that I’ve complained that Karen has brought to the strip. But, I have to admit, this arc has me hooked. I want to see how it works out.

Shannon’s “thank you” note didn’t seem to have meant that much, which I think was why GnK didn’t elaborate on the sentiment.

Now we see the cause of Shannon’s behavior and she can get on the better behaved road. Wonder if this is the end of this portion of Brad’s and Toni’s thinking of starting a family.

A theme for the week has emerged; that of Jonah not being that great of a parent. Those who have pointed to B&T adopting Shannon are being provided new fuel. Today’s dialogue illustrates a kind of willingness to endanger, on Jonah’s part. As firefighters and thus public safety officers, some training may kick in for B&T rather quickly. This could turn ugly.

There’s definitely some messaging going on with this story line, but it does not have the feel of “wokeness” to it for me.

Jonah is so unpredictable that this could be a normal way for him to do. But I’m starting to wonder if he’s running away from someone, taking his daughter with him and not wanting to tell his sister and Brad what’s happening. However, it’s easy to understand that they won’t see Shannon for weeks, but they’ll always think of her.

I’m wondering whether Jonah really did go away for a month for an voice gig, or something else happened, like he was jailed for 30 days. In that entire month, did he ever call Toni & Brad? Did he ever call Shannon to speak with her?

When you’re Shannon’s age, EVERYTHING is an adventure

I’m wondering whether Jonah was visually based on someone Greg knew in the early 1970’s. Among other things (using the word “dig” and being the only long haired man in the strip) he’s wearing one of those imported shirts I remember from the era (not to mention the vest). Somewhere I’m guessing there is a photo of an old friend with this exact look.

So many comments are from people who despise the Shannon character, and now suddenly this ‘little angel’ is being spirited away by her FATHER who has landed a steady job, and needs a little time to get a dwelling where he can have a setup for at home work, and take care of his own kid. So he was a bad dad for being away, he is a bad dad for wanting to take her, all because his immediate plans don’t match with the people here’s opinions of what is ‘proper’, even if temporary.

The irony is almost painful.

I guess Shannon will be the same old unruly, spoiled little girl next time she is over to Brad & Toni’s.

Jonah is an absolutely shi**y father. Does he even know her proper name? Somebody needs to contact DCYS.

Any respect I had for Jonah (which wasn’t much) just evaporated. Get a clue dude and leave Shannon with Brad and Toni where she will have stability.

Toni was concerned because she was seeing all the progress that she & Brad & Nancy made with Shannon going down the drain.

Used correctly, grandparents can be some assistance.

I’m wondering if they are more concerned about Shannan having some structure in her life to help her form better, or their missing out on the instant family they discovered?

I don’t know the story behind Jonah and Shannon. How did Jonah become a single parent?
