Well, that Luann arc with Luann in the Luann Comic Strip didn’t last too very long. Here’s a question for the really long time readers: when did they start branching off, or rather, when did they start making the other characters more important and making Luann just a side bar in her own strip? Seems like it’s been going on for a long time now.

Maybe this will be a major chance to finally see her parents. I’m sure Luann would be totally supportive of her friend. Ben too, probably Nancy and Frank too, Bernice’s parents… dunno.

How old are these two? Because for 14-15 year olds this kind of behavior is understandable, but for grown adults it’s just pathetic. And that seems like a really awkward body position for making out.

OK the dog is just a lead-in to Nil and Bern making out under the tree. But this could move in any number of directions. We just finished with Luann and her new teaching job. Will Bern tell Nil she’s thinking about applying to law school?

I know there was a little attraction when Nil and Bernice were sort-of-together before, but it’s nice to see Bernice maybe getting a love interest. Maybe she won’t be sticking her nose into everyone else’s business.
