I worked in a thrift shop we got a lot of those items donated. The manager threw it in the trash.

Luann seems to know that shop very well. She really has a poetic and romantic soul ♡. I too love to buy second hand clothes and think about their previous “life”. But, of course, Bernice skips all the poetic implications to jump straight into other types of stories, which probably fit her thoughts better. Everything hints that her happiness in being Nil’s muse is not 100% true and she regrets a relationship with a more physical role.

Cool-Bernice is about to “go dark”, and Nil will never know what she is “musing” about!

So the choice is between “Gunther wear” or “naughty” as far as Evans is concerned…

Bernice is thinking about what Nil would look like in that thing.

How would you even CLEAN that used thing before wearing it??

Yup, the stories.

I am still not understanding the Jack and Nil characters.

I always though Nil was gay, considering his past art (Fred?), public nudity art show, total disregard for Bernice’s aggressive sexual behavior, mentioning Fred as someone who might date him.

Jack, who I thought was Nil’s room mate, seemed to like seeing him nude at the art show, and all the other notes I made in the past about Jack make me wonder.

I don’t thing anything Bernice buys in this shop will make any difference.

If Bern wore this we might see both Nil’s eyes (and possibly something else) bulging.

Maybe Nil would find that a-muse-ing

I was a young lad leaving the factory. I’d never looked like all the other boys but that never stopped me from dreaming. I was going to go to a nice human and live a long happy life with them. But things don’t always go the way you expect. I went to an odd little store. There were clothes that looked like me but we didn’t get any customers. It was boring and sometimes dark in there. But one day after a long wait finally I was bought! I quickly prepared for my new life as a beloved clothing article. But then she put me on and her husband came home. I found that I prefer the darkness.

I think you’d need brain bleach after that story.

I have found great “like new” items in the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop. I have cancer so I shop to donate to help others like me and to make my social security checks go farther.

Even though it’s not appropriate for a store to sell something like that “used”, the look on Bernice’s face is priceless! Hopefully she’ll find some cute vintage items (and scarfs) that fit her personal style. I have a feeling that Nil would just go crazy for a nice scarf. Something with fringe…or tassels.

Interestingly, over at ArcaMax there are a substantial number of comments Disquis had ruled “unavailable” ArcaMax readers do tended to be saltier than GoComics but I didn;t think they would be that salty.

Some of those clothes should have a gag order.
