Well, now it’s looking more and more like they’re going to get together…

It’s possible they may have a twist where Bets walks in and sees them together.

Some people have suggested that they’re wrapping up the strip with this, but I don’t think so. There’s still more Luann stories to tell.

So, new arc on Monday? This seems like a pretty good place to pause this one.

This is the end, my friend…..

I thought Greg would hold out to 2025 and end on the 40th anniversary of the strip but it looks like he’s bailing early. If Luann marries Gunther it will be like For Better or For Worse the end of the story. It was nice chatting with you while it lasted.

And the plot thickens! I hope this means the arc will continue into a seventh consecutive weeks!

A great end to this sequence. But as to what it protends is still antbody’s guess. Does it end here or do we continue to the Doll-O-ween Party? And if it does, does Bets make a surprise appearance. Well, the third kiss is a cheek kiss…while the first two were lip kisses. That says it all – they’re friends and that’s all, folks.

There were at least two more times that they kissed:

The first time was when Gunther helped Lu with her studies.

Then, there was the time Gunther helped boost Luann’s confidence when reading to little kiddies.

Today’s friendly peck on the cheek, should be about Gunther’s kiss number FIVE with Lu.

No biggie.

And for the record, besides Bets, Gunther has also been kissed by Delta and Tiffany.

And Gun once laid a show stopper of a kiss on Bernice, who is probably now staring at his table in utter disbelief. ;-)

I think the kiss on the cheek is kind of assignment to the friend zone for life. Very good friends, but their arcs will likely continue in separate ways, but, what do I know? I just enjoy reading Luann.

All this reminiscing and neither brought up the time LuAnn tried to find out intimate details about Gunther & Bets relationship, or how Luann tried to sabotage Gun & Bets first date? Actions speak louder than words or a kiss on the cheek Gunther.

Luann is not stopped by the fact that Bernice (and Tiffany) are watching/studying her from doing what she thinks is right. I love her courage. Gunther is her most precious friend, it’s nice that she remembers that. I wonder when Tiffany’s costume party will be, let’s hope there will be many guests and that a lot of unpredictable things will happen. Can’t wait to see everybody in a doll costume.

Don’t jump to conclusions about anything I see a huge plot misdirection coming, and its not the end. For one Toni hasnt had her baby, and I don’t think the Degroots, font of sensibility here, are going anywhere without a grandchild. So wait, as always say.

Nice. Do we see Bernice again? Tiffany or Ox? Good time to make those costumes for the party. Will Bets show up? =:-o

I’d really like to see this develop into a lasting relationship, but I’ve been reading this strip long enough to know that it won’t.

This is just a friendly kiss, No romance, no end of strip. Next week we will be onto another story and most of us will die from old age before this strip ends.

Thanks, panel #2, for reminding us how repulsive Gunther used to look. Even though Luann was mean to him back in the day, I’m beginning to get why she reached for the “anti-cling” spray.

Brad had gone through similar physical evolution. From spud-head to the handsome guy he is today.

It’s like the whole story line from the beginning was to lead us to this.

Still there’s this dolloween party of Tiff’s. Part of me me thinks she just invented it at the moment for Gun and Luann or like the pool party it doesn’t exist or it’s not going to happen.

i dont think g&k would do a crappy thing like for better or worse did. theres still more stories to tell , i dont want to see luann and gunther hookup though, they are too good of friends to go that route. should just let gunther play the field and maybe have bets eventually show up with maybe a new guy?
