Merry Christmas Morning! It’s 5am here, husband and I are having a quiet coffee in front of the fireplace, with donuts from the Looney Bakery and watching Alistair Sim in A Christmas Carol. My most favorite rendition though A Muppet Christmas Carol runs a close second ;) I actually love them all except for the FX remake from a couple years ago. Not big on that one. I hope all of you have a wonderful day, however you spend it

It is officially Christmas Day here in Honolulu, HI! Mele Kalikimaka to Georgia, the Boy, the Girl, the BCN crew, and all the Orbsters!

Panel 4 belongs in O.Z.’s kitten book. Hopefully Elvis started ones for her and Iggy already. They may not technically be kittens, but they are the newest and youngest members of the family and need books too.

I’m having a rough time of it, Orbsters. Still feeling traumatized by last Christmas Eve spent with no heat and water and dangerously cold temperatures, my only prayer this year was for a peaceful, uneventful Christmas. Instead, that mouse I mentioned earlier chewed through our internet cable at 2 am, so instead of a peaceful Christmas breakfast spent driving out to the country to spend time with my family, my Christmas is cancelled so I can be here while strangers rewire my house. Not having service isn’t an option as I need it for my job. As disasters go this is a minor, non fatal one, but my Christmas spirit was hanging by a thread and that thread is fraying. No sleep isn’t going to make anything easier tomorrow and I have nothing to look forward to, I can’t even watch Doctor Who tomorrow as planned without high speed internet. I’m just really depressed that it seems I never get to enjoy anything.

No doubt the chainsaw is what Ora Zella wanted, but is it really a good idea to give her one?

Merry Christmas to all! I’m doing my usual round of playing for church services. But this year, Christmas Day will be capped off by visiting my husband in the memory care facility. After a series of falls and ER visits, I was advised to make arrangements for hospice in early December. He’s not able to communicate, is in a wheelchair now, and needs more and more help with everything. But he’s still calm, if confused, and not upset or agitated. We’ll enjoy the time together as long as we can.

I just popped over here expecting everybody would be too busy to comment this morning, and yet, here we are!

For everyone who’s not actually celebrating anything just at present, for whatever reason, hope your day manages to be positive anyway!

OZ will love that toy!! There are actually in real life actual real plastic run-on-AA-batteries chainsaws for kids. I didn’t get one for our grandson … it took about two nanoseconds for me to make that decision.

I hope you know just what it is you’ve unleashed on the world today, Santa. :P

Where are my robber mice? I miss them. I hope they swiped some good stuff.

I clicked “like” on this strip, but I’m not sure I really like OZ getting a chainsaw. I can’t help but wonder what’s next. Actually, I’m afraid of what’s next with that girl, and I am not sure she should be encouraged.

I am still jet lagged from my trip and still congested and have a wobbly tummy, so I’m not sure if I will go to the deli down the street for one of their nice take-away Christmas plates (as much Christmas dinner — turkey or roast beef, plus sides — as fits on a big plate) or bake my frozen Beef Wellingtons or heat up frozen Thanksgiving leftovers.

I had a layover in Zurich, so I bought several boxes of Swiss chocolates, so dessert will be chocolates and ice cream.

A year or so ago we bought our group a tunnel made of paper bag paper. They loved it but eventually it just could not be taped together again. So this year Santa brought a nylon collapsible triple tunnel with a roofless center module with two hanging jingle cage toys. So far they seem to like it and have discovered the advantage of the roofless center as an escape hatch when two or three meet in the middle.

The spirits did it all in one night!

OT: Christmas. Just back from my Aunt’s house. lovely day with everyone. My Goddaughter got me nice Guinness glass from the liquor store she works at. She has a liberal arts degree, go figure LOL And my Cousin got me some wonderful Bombas socks and cat toys for my girls. I wasn’t expecting anything. It was really nice. My Cousin has a siamese that is every bit as persnickety as Elvis. He is amazing.Hope everyone’s day was as nice as mine.
