When this story started Dez said that she and Stef had decided to go for a quad, as if they were old friends. If they were old friends you would think she knew about Stef’s obsession with Kip and her need to bed him every night and sometimes inbetween. So why didn’t Dez try to head off some of this. This whole week Dez has been “this is news to me.”

Tiff wants Stef & Kip out while goofy Dez is trying to turn a small dorm room into a privacy hut.

I don’t see why the others would need the privacy hut, so it doesn’t matter if Stef and Kip have it all the time. Dez would find her own way if she dates anyone. Tiffany has a big mansion and seems to value her privacy anyhow. Bets and Gunth have yet to get it on, and if that does happen, there is no way Gunther would agree to go there. He has a room at his home, and he would be sure Les would be well occupied elsewhere.

Ugh. The Stef-type roommate is a nightmare. Why did Dez bring in?? Did she not know Stef that well? Or did she think along the same lines as Tiff before Stef broke up with Kip and then learned that Kip is also in a quad room with no privacy as well?

Well, I’ve been advocating that this strip should be more realistic about young college-age adults and well, it has. In a very humorous way I might add. Welcome to 21st Century Luannverse.

Arc has been taken over by second string characters and Tiff is being dominated. Not good. Luann should continue to hide from this uncomfortable mess.

I’m not sure why Tiffany is complaining, as we know damn well that neither she nor Dez will ever bring guys back to the room and therefore need use of the privacy hut. And if Bets needs privacy with Gunther then they can use his place, since he has his own room. So what exactly is the problem here? This storyarc is just another example of the strip’s reliance on Idiot Plots.

I have followed this cartoon for many years and have laughed at how close it follows our good sence and morality. Who the fuck is responsible for this crap now? who is running the show there? Are you all nuts?

This military brat story is related to DEZ being a nudist. My Dad was transferred to Bitburg AFB in West Germany. Our family had gone to this riverbank park one sunny day. I was 8-9ish. I was sent to get ice cream from the food stands on the other side of the park. That was when I found out the park or at least that part of it was clothing optional. So I removed my swimming shorts, and shoved them under my arm. I dropped them on the way back carrying the ice cream. My mother was not at all impressed, My Dad had to investigate came back, and suggest we all do as the Germans are doing. Mom would have none of that.

I suspect that Stef is a bit unclear on the concept of “Sharing”.

Thank goodness for Sunday tomorrow and a reprieve from this story arc, if even for a day.
