I don’t know if anyone has posted this before, but a few of us used to post comments on the Arcamax Luann strip until they switched to F-Book. They must have lost a lot of readers because they dropped F-book and re now using Discus (also login via Google). You can also sign up for a free Arcamax account too. I’ve been there and at that age. Their mistake is jumping from friends to lovers without actually dating first. Dating and hanging out are two very different things.

Nil isn’t anal-retentive like Bernice, he’s just trying to accommodate her. She may or may not be worth the effort, but kudos to Nil for his patience and respect.

This is not interesting at all. It was okay when the two young people actually seemed to be “in affection” for each other. Now it’s just turned into a sex exercise between two nonchalant idiots who don’t have any real feelings for each other at all. Please end this cheap hook up story. It’s tacky.

It’s increasingly obvious (not that it wasn’t before) that this won’t end in satisfaction for anyone, least of all the readers. Leave it to Bernice to mess up what should’ve been a simple booty call.

Which “why are we doing this” question is Bernice asking why are they in a weird pseudo relationship, or why are they sitting there asking banal questions instead of just doing what they really want to do which is making out.

Bernice asks " Why are we doing this?" But she is not clear what THIS is. Does she mean, Why are we making small talk?, or Why are we seeing each other?

“The other”? That makes me think of the instructions for some gadget that had been translated into English by a non-native English speaker. It included the line “Not to be used for the other use”. I never figured out what “the other use” was.

All the time Bern spent in the bedroom with luann I’m sure they talked about what they would do with a guy in the bed room, and it would’nt be the guy leaveing out the window before they got extra friendly.

What will be the trigger, if any? Hilarity will ensue though.

Another thought: Bernice is rules-obsessed. In the park, in semi-public, there were limits on how far they could go. Alone in the house, there are no limits. For Bernice, that can be scary. Also, there is the unconscious fear of someone walking in on them. Again, Nil isn’t as uptight as he is just responding to Bernice and trying not to pressure her, frustrating though that is.

We wonder what all goes on behind closed doors — this just a glimpse.
