Being terrified of failure, and far away from family does not excuse her treating Tiffany like crap. How is she going to handle having some real competition at this " elite summer dance program ". Sorry, but she’s acting like a spoiled brat who is being forced to live in been an adult world.

This sounds like the sort of epic guilt-tripping that McFarlane some times pulls out on Family Guy. The truth remains that Stef is a horrible roommate and future fears does nothing to ameliorate her horribleness.

Why am I surprised that Kip knows so much about Steff’s emotions?

Thursday, and we have two problems. 1) Kip is definitely after Tiffany. 2] It looks like this tasteless arc is going to go on and on and on.

Why would she want someone who’s been a steffed on, at least 17 times a week, up to 81 minutes each time? He’s no kipper.

Disappointed in you, Kip. Defend Stef? She is just being dramatic. I doubt she is afraid of anything. She is seeking attention from you by faking an attack of doubts. She’s a good actress and knows how to push guys’ buttons. You will find out the hard way, Kip.

Tiffany is taking on a blame she doesn’t have. She’s exaggerating, but it’s so good to see her exaggerating ♡. She was once totally indifferent to others and only cared about herself, now she’s so emphatic she suddenly feels sad the moment she knows that someone, who has no regard for her, has personal problems and explodes after a legitimate request from the whole group. Maybe she’s starting to see the annoying Stef as a friend, or maybe she’s she just a good person? I don’t know, but I like it and Kip is actually a good boyfriend. Leaving Stef alone to let off steam in peace for a moment and explaining the situation is better than suddenly running after her.

Looks like there may be a “summer romance” between Kip and Tiff.

I hope it extends beyond that.

Interestingly, Greg has Tiff and Kippy dressed in black today. I am reasonably sure that it is not that they are mourning the loss of Steffi, so it must be something else.

And who is her family, Jake and Elwood Blues? Can the rest of her excuses be as good as Joliet Jakes? Let’s see what other garbage Kip will use to cover for her… “She didn’t have enough money for a hotel room. Her other cheerleader costume didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole her car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! SHE’S ENTITLED TO BE A SELFISH SHALLOW, SMARMY PIECE OF CRAP! I SWEAR TO GOD!” (Cue “Blues Brothers” music).

Not sure how Kip’s alibi is connected to time-sharing the privacy hut. Is that how Steff is getting stress relief? Regardless, SnK’s names are still on the schedule too often.

Oh, so now we’re supposed to feel sorry for Stef?? …. I suppose this is going to lead into a big story from Tiffany about how she felt abandoned as a teenager, so in order to cope, she was snotty to Luann and everyone else ***eyeroll***

Terrible roomies trying to offer a fair solution to a problem while Stef insults and steamrolls all over them. Not buying this as an explanation at all.

Well, well Kip is still in suite, talking to a mocking Tiffany, defending Steff. Tiffany is even acting a bit humbly understanding? Misdirection galore, but interesting. This is a real transition panel set today.

All things considered Stef has no excuse to be upset at her roommates for expecting her to share the use of privacy hut with them. She was good spirits until she couldn’t get her way and then lashed out. Kip is understanding but Stef is over reacting to a reasonable expectation from her roommates.

Context is everything. You never know what’s going on in someones life. Still can’t hog the hut though.

I sense a shift in momentum here. Just don’t allow Tiffany to become the next victim of this hot-to-trot women stalker.

This is a good story arc as it shows them coming face to face with real life problems such as how to deal with narcissistic jerks like Steph. They’ll all run into people like that sooner or later so might as well start practicing now.

Stef has been rotten to all her roommates, and no one should feel sorry for her because she’s ‘stressed’. As Tiff said, Boo Freakin’ Hoo.

Stef’s afraid of failing and her family’s far away? She’s got issues.

Kip says that he and Stef will be apart soon, but he doesn’t say who will be leaving. They could both be leaving for the summer in different directions. We don’t know that Kip will be around during the summer and I don’t think Tiffany is interested in him anyway.

Stef was accepted into an elite summer dance program? It’s only logical to give her 24/7 access to the Privacy Hut then.

I never thought l would see the day when Tiffany was the most reasonable character in Luann!

I think Kip is showing he has a lot more to him that people previously assumed. He does seem to actually care about Stef (although admittedly their breakup and makeup felt quite random) and understands her motivations. A problem I’m having with the arc is that I don’t think that Stef has been portrayed as the three dimensional character the writers are trying to turn her into now. She was essentially a 2-D depiction of the girl you love to hate, with no redeeming qualities. This shift feels abrupt and not earned.

Give it a rest Kip…Stef is a self centered, egotistical manipulative creep. The type that will run over anyone to have her way…and here you are defending her??? That makes you as bad as her. That’s a flimsy excuse for rotten behavior and treating the “Roomies” like crap.

Seems Kip is laying a guilt trip on Tiffany for her sarcasm to Steff’s good fortune, by pointing out Steff’s insecurities. While I might sympathize with Steff’s situation, it’s no excuse or reason for her attitude since she was introduced here. Many college students are away from home; this isn’t her first year. I hope this doesn’t end up with Tiffany and the girls pampering, reassuring and fawning over Steff and making her more insufferable. I’m not sure Steff will be contrite about her past actions.

Maybe Stef is upset because for the past two weeks, everyone’s been calling her a wh*re for enjoying sex with her boyfriend while forcing her to have sex in a tent in a dormitory hallway.

None of these other characters need a privacy hut. Who’s Tiffany having sex with? Oh that’s right, no one. Dez? No one—and she can do her nude yoga when Bets is off at Gunther’s shed.

Frankly, this person has every right to think her roomies are awful people. And her boyfriend ain’t much better than they are.

So will they be apart because the dance program is away or is he leaving? Summer vacation?

Tiff has no reason to feel bad. Stef has consistently insulted her for the entirety of their time knowing each other. Tiff should be a little more charitable in attitude now that she has this new information, but no reason to be guilty up to this point.

That doesn’t excuse Steff being incredibly selfish about the privacy hut. Yeah, yeah, she won’t be with Kip for awhile. How well does she think she’ll do in the dance program if she ends up preggers before she gets there?

Family far away? Big deal. College is about learning to be on your own. And we have phones w/ video, texting, e-mail etc. Just about every young person in this strip, except Luann, has a family that they can’t connect with; but they don’t behave like Steffie. Not buying any of Kip’s effort to justify, but to his credit he seems to be a caring boyfriend that Steffie doesn’t deserve to have. And besides, how does Kip know she “doesn’t mean it”.

That does NOT make it okay for Stef to treat everyone the way she does.

Tiffany has done a lot of horrible things to be sorry for. This is not one of them. Honestly, Stef has been a horrible roommate and the other girls have been reasonable. So, too bad, so sad.
