50/50 means that Bets and Gunther are equal. The only problem I don’t believe that Gunther feels equal to Bets.

three or four days ago (our time) Bets was on the phone with Tiff and promising to be there within a half hour. How long are G&K going to drag this out?

Looks like things are building up for a compromise and Bets coming back to the strip. Sighhhhhhh. I was thrilled that she was made to appear to be written off the strip. My bubble is burst.

When will Bets arrive? Is Bernice there, or was she even invited? Tiffany can talk to Ox easily, unlike Luann. Leave it to Les to be GI Joe. Where did Stef and Kip take off to? The pool house?

Luann should stay away from math.

It’s not unfair to communicate your wishes, in fact it’s the basis of a healthy relationship. What’s unfair is to demand the other person fulfill your wishes, especially if you’re unwilling to do the same for them.

Only two days left, maybe three if we go with a big surprise on Sunday.

For Gunther, I think Luann’s statement of how much she appreciates him is ringining in his ears. Maybe when Bets shows up to what’s technically a cosplay party as a cosplay queen lifecasting on Insta, he’ll realize he only missed the idea of her, not her at all. And there will be Luann, just accepting him but knowing he accepts her and will be there for her.

I’m almost willing to wager Gunther, high on soda pop, will kiss Luann back by the end fo the year, if not the end of this arc.

My suspension of disbelief has been broken, there is no way Luann knows what numbers make up 100.

I think Dez’s Raggedy Ann costume is the cutest of all. Dez managed to recreate the lovable and soft air of the doll and that completely match with her personality. Once again Luann is giving the right advice to a friend in needs, demonstrating how wise she is, able to listen to what her friends says and to really understand them. She’s a great friend, Gunther trusts her and knows that she’s right. I think this advice will be useful to him when Bets appears at the party, they both have to find compromises if they want to stay together.

Things between you and Bets have been more like a 100/0 split in Her favor.

And while there may be a “promise” from Bets (after she’s done screaming with jealousy) that she’ll meet you halfway on matters from now on, don’t buy it,

Her “promise” would be as EMPTY as the “promise that Jonah Daytona once made about being a more “responsible parent.”

It was good of Luann to try to help though. At least you’re still lucky enough to have a few good friends. ;-)

Somewhat surprised Steph and Kip aren’t at the party, even if not invited as Steph is so bold and brash she would just come anyway. Of course Steph would be in costume as – a Cheerleader and Kip – as a football player. Birthday suits would be more like them but not appropriate.

Luann looks like a blond Nancy giving advice. I like Dez as Raggedy Ann, always thought that with her vegetable gardening she could be friends with TJ who does the cooking.

That is not Luann. That’s a Nancy face. The new artists probably have basic patterns they can copy. Nothing about it looks like Luann. At least they got Gunther’s buck teeth right.

So is this Nancy Luann character suggesting that it’s okay to be in an unequal relationship? Sure seems like it. Gunther is right. If he called Bets and said things like “I love you, I miss you, I wish you would come home” he would be putting a guilt trip on her and then if she didn’t respond as expected he would feel let down and resentful. The perfect relationship is where a plan is created after weighing both person’s needs and obligations.

So, our Luann is cute and smart, too.

Unfortunately, in relationships, the ratio is 100/100 = 100… if you think about it, it makes sense. if you give less than that in a relationship, it doesn’t work.

SO the so-called couple on a date are spending their time talking about BETS. How romantic. Yet so many of you made the connection that hand holding was the definition of a couple/date.

And so this conversation perfectly sets up the fact that Luann and Gunther are definitely not there in a romantic capacity. Just in time for Bets to walk in, see Gunther in the proximity of another woman at a party and completely get the wrong idea. I really hope they don’t take that tired old route, but the path is definitely laid for it.

All you people who wanted to see more costumes, I don’t think G&K are going to oblige.

Although they did add Les as….whoever that is he’s supposed to be.

Thus will be the tragedy: Gunther loves Bets, Luann wants Gunther and Bets to be together. But Bets showed signs of possessiveness all the way back to their first meeting and won’t take this sight well.

A perfect compromise is 100%/100% with all love. Dividing numbers will kill a relationship.

The correct relationship ratio is 75/75.

Luann sure is full of advice about compromise, considering her only relationship ended because her boyfriend got tired of putting his life on hold to hang around Pittsville and be her trophy boyfriend, while she didn’t want to sacrifice anything in return (even after he’d moved to an entirely new country for her.)

Luann has the right idea. In my experience though, the sum has to total MORE than 100% to work. 60/60 is ideal, but in reality the successful equation is usually less equal- more like 65/40- one person gives more than the other, and it the numbers change over time.

Once he settles down, he’s like Pavlov’s dog whenever his phone went “ding”, meaning Bets has a new posting, and he HAD to look. Like an addict needing a Bets fix, even if he was unhappy about the “breakup”. Les does him a favor by deleting his account.

Has lunch with Luann as part of Bernice’s “experiment” and as he talks about Bets’ drop in followers and income, he has a big grin on his face and admits to ENJOYING it. He wishes ill on someone “he thinks he loves”.

Now, he seems wistful about the party, thinking that Bets would “love” being there. But he’s unsure of telling her that he misses her, because he THINKS that by doing that, he’s pressuring her to come “home” (<whose home? where?). As if she wasn’t willful and independent with a mind of her own?

Successful couples come from compromise on both sides. That is the only way that 2 can equal 1.

Prediction – Bets will show up Saturday, leaving us with a cliffhanger until Monday…

My guess is that Gunther is going to do or say something that triggers Luann, resulting in a thankful or consoling embrace. At that point, Bets shows up and misinterprets it, followed by accusations.

My late parents, happily married for 55 years, had a different view of compromise. Each of them gave 100%.

Gunther, from a somewat disinterested observer, it seems a lot of your relationship with Betts is what SHE wants. You want to get make together with Betts? Make sure that the two of you do more of what YOU want.
