Now it just feels like GnK are just basically rushing to finish this arc before the week’s over. I mean we go from Stef storming out of the room in a huff, to Kip telling Tiff that they’ll soon be separated, to this, like as Tonya Harding would say, “Wham-bam, thank you ma’am”?

It still feels like Stef is manipulating the others.

It is quite a display of empathy for Steph. Foolish, but still kind.Steph has not shown anywhere near half of that amount of consideration for those sharing her living space. (Not surprising, since she’s written like a narcissistic pain in the rear.)

Why are they apologizing to such a terrible roommate. So she’s lonely and afraid of failing? So is every student who has ever gone to college. And since she’s a varsity cheerleader we can assume that this is her second year so she’s already been away from her family for a year. None of which excuses her for being a terrible roommate.

But lets not forgoet Kip who most have been borking Stef in the Privact Hut for months without ever wondering who there was a hut in the first place or that this was going on night after night. Has he no self-awareness for the situation they are in?

And lets not forget Greg Evens who is writing this drivel and thinks he’s entertaining people

This is the first time I have read through all the comments in a while. I am amazed by how many in this forum are complaining about the content, even criticizing Greg directly. I guess I’m not alone in disliking where this strip is going. I have two questions.Is Tiff still a virgin?Is Jack, not seen latley, a gay guy?

I don’t think enabling Stef like this is a good idea (I DO feel bad for her a bit, but I don’t see her failing either). She’s gotta learn life doesn’t always go her way and she has to make do with what she’s got, not what she wants. Being an adult sucks, but….there it is.

This might end up being the most wild arc Greg has done yet!

Now that was sweet of them. But what if Kippy is the one set to leave?

Luann has been laid off? Down sized? This has gotten as bad as anything with the bratty niece in it. It’s no longer funny to me but if you’re the real housewives type, carry on.

So they caved to some PWd weaklings bullsnot sob story designed to enable his handler’s manipulative selfishness … all of them …. SMH.

So Kip’s explanation was enough to make them all do a 180? Lots of people have stressful things going on in their lives, why are Stef’s an excuse for her to be a selfish brat and throw a temper tantrum the moment she’s called out on it?

So, they just decided to formalize something that was already the truth by giving it all to Stef. This is because the “poor” cheerleader is under pressure to participate in exclusive courses that would allow her to fulfill her dreams career… They are sweet, but this is disappointing! Allowing once again Stef’s selfish behavior instead of contrast it will surely backfire on them in the future. But if that’s the price for Tiffany to spend a summer at college without an annoying Stef around… maybe it’s a bargain.

Okay, now that this arc has thankfully run it course; who does G&K check in on next? Bwad, Toni, Shannon and TJ? Or perhaps see how the Les, Gunnie, Irma and Punk are doing at the gulag or maybe even an arc that focuses on Luann (and perhaps Jack?)?? All are kind of overdue with long arcs on Bern and the quad girls.

I really don’t get this. Why should Steff have her own “hut”? And why did everyone decide in her favor? This makes no sense to me and is not believable. And besides, I find it hard to imagine that even if these two screw 2-3 times a day, there are no hours in the day left for everyone else. This whole arc needs to stop.

They are such great roommates! Stef owes each one of them an apology tomorrow!

You know the girls are being kind and understanding, contrary to the troll projectors in this comment blog, but hilarity ensues as usual. Now I think this might be better to understand this story if that is something one wants, I’d we realize that Stef is a very troubled girl, white Kip is more than just Jock Hormone. Suddenly she is more interesting, if one tries to understand what really is going on.

So, the other three bought Kip n Steff’s hard luck story into getting more hut time and now have sympathy for “poor” Steff, with still no other time left over for themselves. Shrewd and clever salesmanship from Kip.

Doesn’t Stef have a car? She must. She picked up Puddles while she was driving. And every town has some sort of inspiration point or someplace where young folks park for making out. Cars are often bedrooms on wheels. She doesn’t actually USE the privacy hut all the time, she just books it in case Kip is available. If it’s vacant, regardless of what the calendar says, the hut is available. If you’re not using it during the time you scheduled, you should lose your reservation.I don’t care how terrified or stressed Stef is, she’s still a total self centered jerk and she needs to have some consequences for her behavior.

Thank god Stef will get what she wants. I was so worried that this storyline would have a happy ending. Yeah, yeah – euphemisms.

Can someone explain why i see people write PARAGRAPH long complaints about this comic not being entertaining? Youre looking at it within the 1st few hours it’s posted.If its not entertaining you, why are you here? If its not entertaining you, why is it worth your time to write THAT MUCH complaining about it? So, Tiff, Betts, and Co, are going to cede their time for the privacy hut to Steff so she can boink her soon to leave QB boyfriend, whenever the mood strikes them, just because they feel sorry for her? How does that make sense?

Even if Stef is a dud roommate, Tiff, Dez and Bets are showing empathy and kindness toward her. Based on how this year in residence has gone, it is safe to say Tiff, Dez and Bets would share an apartment again and would definitely not make the mistake of choosing to share an apartment with Stef.

I appreciate that this is a comic strip. It is well drawn, usually has a funny punchline, nicely written and Greg has managed to write the comic strip continuously for over 30 years. I appreciate his talent to illustrate and keep readers entertained and reading Luann for decades. Not every strip will be everyone’s favourite but they are all entertaining.

So, she boo-hoo cries and gets her way? If she were actually a good friend to any of the other girls, I’d say sure, be a little understanding. But the fact that all of this emotional turmoil is a total revelation to all the other girls in the room means that Stef is not a friend. She is a selfish, manipulative, shallow user. Time to send her to bunk with one of her cheer buddies and get your joy back, ladies.

So they get to feel good about themselves for giving in to Stef’s temper tantrum? She gets to learn that she can manipulate them by throwing a fit? This all just demonstrates how selfish and wishy-washy GenX kids are, but it’s probably for the best because the thought of anyone else going in that blanket tent was just gross.

Who wants to use it except for Stef and Kip anyhow? That would be like getting into a bed another couple used without washing the sheets. Ewwwww!

If that is supposed to be Escape it would say SKpe. ESS KAY pe is how it would sound. The way it is now sounds like eskayape, 3 syllables.

Hate this. Enabling Stef and rewarding her bad behavior. Part of growing up is learning how to deal with adversity, and emotional extortion of your “friends” is not going to help anyone.

I love Italian Disney literary parodies. I collect and read them in the original language, but a few were published in English translation by Dark Horse: Don Quixote, Moby Dick, A Christmas Carol, Hamlet, Dracula, and Frankenstein. In Italian only but with amazing art: Metopolis—a very faithful parody of the silent classic “Metropolis” published by Panini Comics.

Bets appears easily “guilt-tripped.” Gunther should make note of that and use it the next time Bets starts “acting up.”

As far as I can tell, they didn’t give in to Steph except to rename the hut. Nothing is implied that Steph gets it 100% of the time. It just shows that the other three can have some compassion for a fellow room mate.

Someone enlighten me. Back when I was in college (and dinosaurs roamed the earth), there were restrictions on men and women even going into the other gender’s dorms after hours. Are these “privacy huts” even a thing? Mind you, plenty of college students were hooking up back then, but we had to find a place off-campus.

So the point of this arc is that Stef’s roommates should feel bad for not facilitating Stef and Kip to do the horizontal bop every hour of every day? They should feel bad?

That’s what back seats or Chevy vans are for.

In real life, she would need to find someplace else to ahem, entertain company

This arc has never made sense. The privacy hut even less so: How skanky must it be in there? Why in the world would Kip’s sad song change their minds? I know it didn’t change mine. I was thinking, “buh-bye Shoog.” This was an annoying, stretched out arc about two horny college kids and the suckers for roommates. Next.

Inferior! If these roomies cave in and give up the Privacy Hut, so quickly making it the “S.K.ape” just to appease the slatternly Steffi, they deserve all the pain!
