Ugh! Where’s the fight?? We were ripped off! Boo! Hiss! lol ;)

But … Bets literally just told Gunther that leaving was a stupid idea and she never should have left at the party… and she went as far as to deleted the site she hosted her livestreams on making the opportunity ultimately pointless. (The lack of consistency with the characters’ feelings from strip to strip has been pretty rocky lately) She’s still justifying everything and blaming the relationship being nearly ruined on Stef and the commenters rather than her or Gunther. Nothing about the weirdness of the two splitting with unclear relationship status for months…

Wow, a war of the conceited. Or as the say goes: “girls, girls, stop fighting, you’re both witches.”

Steff is not wrong.

Oh please Stef, the caption? You was obviously tryna stir up drama, don’t play coy now.

And that comparison makes no sense. She was posting and filming just for drama even while Bets was obviously in distress, that’s not remotely similar to extending a vacation. Just grasping for straws atp

Looking at the art in today’s strip versus the art in the Sunday strip, something is off. The art today has thickened lines given depth to the image. Sunday’s strip was drawn in a thin unvarying line. It’s almost like someone else draw the Sunday page.

Stef has a point, and Bets is making it worse.

The Anticlimactic moment would be a Kip Lee appearance?

Both leave something to be desired.

Stef is trying to take the focus off of herself. How would she feel if Bets posted a photo of Kip and Tiffany together and captioned it with Tiffany’s New Guy?

That’s a really ugly comment from Bets. The only opportunity was to do more of the same she’d already been doing with Gunther…while figuring out whether she needed him to be successful. Ugh. So much for her newfound maturity. She could be with Gunther at this moment but was more interested in berating Stef after the post that…didn’t break anybody up. And really, why would Stef care if Gunther and Bets stay together or not? She saw an opportunity to grab some likes and took it.

Both gals are too selfish to care about others?

Okay, does Stef have a thing for Gunther?

Stef does have a point.

Wow! The expected calling out of Steph was fine. Steph’s answer made no sense. Why did she care that Bets went off on a road trip? Didn’t she spend her summer in dance camp or something? And, what kind of retort is, “I saw an opportunity and took it”? Thumbs down on today’s strip.

The only “Battle Royale” we’re ever going to see here is who can be the bigger conceited, self-centered little snot. The last thing GNK will do is show a physical brawl.

Bets goes gallivanting by herself for three months and comes back expecting things to be just fine with Gunther? Sure wouldn’t work with this guy.

Me thinks that Bets is talking out of her butts.

OMG! A month in and it’s still Halloween? The pacing in this story is agonizing, where’s closure? February? 2025??. This should of been done days ago.

I like Stef’s “By invitation only” night gear.

I would be surprised at Stefani’s situational awareness. if not for the fact that G&K never said that she doesn’t have any.

I’m done with this story and I’m going to unfollow this comic for a while. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays.

Today’s strip makes me sad, somehow. We need some “good guys” to leaven all the unrelenting drama and selfishness. Stef is repulsive, but Bets is disappointing me; I thought she really was sincere about getting back with Gungher.

As I’ve said in the past, I don’t call these two the “it’s all about MEEEEEEE……” twins for nothing.

1) Stefi seems to be holding her own in this melee. 2) What happened to the contrite Bets we saw with Gunther at The Balloween Party?

3) This must be the midweek switcheroo that luann1212 is so fond of point out.

I don’t relly care for the “I saw an opportunity so i took it” in th last panel. Makes it sound like it was more her choice than Gunter’s.

The difference, “Shoog,” is that it was an agreed arrangement between her and Gunther, which Gun respected (Albeit the rest of the world didn’t get). You, on the other hand, are a PURE opportunist and did nothing to deny on trying to ruin a loving relationship for popularity.

Ugh, don’t make me side with Stef! If I’m following, Bets went off and all but dumped Gunther, who then went to a party with Luann. Stef took a picture of them there and posted it on her own social media and Bets is angry about that, even though she’d more or less ended her relationship with him already. If that’s correct then Bets is the bad guy here and doesn’t have any right to be attacking Stef.

Stef did have a valid point. Bets had no right to leave Gunther and explore the country!

seems like this story arch is a never ending story … my, actually i’d have liked to see Bets gone for Gunth to grow – and now this is going on and on and on (yawn) … i guess that’s life

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m tired of Bets and her shenanigans. She comes back to Pitts for a big reunion with Gunther whom she sees as broken-hearted without her. But she has never said that she was ever lonely without him. Then she was going to walk away from him for his own good. Then she came back and promptly ran off to confront Stef, leaving Gunther to be comforted by his not-a-girlfriend. Bets accuses Stef of posting that picture because she’s trying to ruin her relationship with Gunther, a relationship Bets had already damaged by staying on the road when he wanted to go back to school. Stef tells her as much as that and Bets’ only comeback is that she saw an opportunity and seized it? What opportunity was that? I don’t know and I no longer care. G&K have written Bets into a corner. She’s a broken character. It’s time to discard her and move on.

The comparison became immediately awkward. I hate to admit it, but Stef isn’t totally wrong. She and Bets are both very focused on themselves and their objectives. Stef is more immature, rather unscrupulous and seems unable to change or learn. While Bets thinks more about what she does and shows signs of learning from her mistakes. It’s good that there’s this discussion. Bets will understand even more what needs to change about herself, otherwise she risks being like Stef.

Bets ran once, she will again.

I guess bodice ripping girl fights were of an older generation???

I don’t think steff was trying to ruin the relationship. she was trying to gets hits on her stuff. and because she’s brainless ad selfish didn’t think of the harm it would do to others.

The only thing that would make this plot better is if Kip comes out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel. Three days left!

What’s WORSE is Stef is absolutely right for once.

Looks like NO “real “fight” this week, as some of Us thought.

And it’s just as well. Fighting justified or otherwise only attracts lawyers like sharks in bloody waters.

Bets? There’s no “winner” here. So call a cease-fire and pretend to “bury the hatchet” with Ms Noxious here.

Then quietly encourage your pal Tiff, to go after Stef’s B/F’s Kip with a VENGEANCE.

Or better yet, get your new “pal” LUANN to go after him.

And be sure to post pics on Stef’s social media when you catch Kip hugged up with another gal. ;-)

I suppose, when they will, eventually, look back, Stef will be the one they thank for having brought Gun and Bets back together …

I really wanted Bets to pound Stef senseless.

These two have nothing in common other than narcissism.

The dif is,Betts wanted a selfish journey to enrich her life, she wasn’t aiming to hurt anyone. Steph was trying to hurt people,and people she knows!I doubt it will happen, but I wish steph would get hers.

Funny, if you’d asked me a week ago, I’d have said Bets was selfish and didn’t care about anyone else. It remains to be seen if this new caring about other people attitude is a permanent change. So, it still feels hypocritical of her to say that about someone else.

I dislike Steff a lot, but I have to admit she’s got a point in panel 2.

It makes no sense to me why Stef would be home and in bed. After stirring the pot wouldn’t she want to stick around and see the fireworks?

To me, Bets remains the most interesting character in the strip because she seems more true to life. While I’m not expecting true realism on the comics page, it’s nice that Bets is complicated like a 19 year old should be. Steff is just a Tiffany replacement because someone decided to make Tiffany fat and give her layers – which is quite insulting. In no world would a Steff care who Gunther was dating or post about it. She’d be posting selfies and thirst traps.

We are all selfish and self-centered, we have to learn to stop and think twice about things we do and how they might affect other people. It’s part of growing up.

Stef’s shrug in panel 3 is an admission that the accusation has merit, and she’s using “whataboutism” as a defense…Immediately what comes to mind is “Two wrongs don’t make a right”.

Everybody who is looking for a fight is missing the point of the message. Look closer to these panels.

Good one! Remove the log from your own eye, Bets. Two opportunists. I said yesterday that Stef didn’t do anything Bets wouldn’t have done.

She regretted leaving when she spoke to Gunther. Now she’s justifying her three month adventure. Does she even know what she wants. Perhaps have her cake and eat it too?

Stef has got a point, though. Betts did take off, leaving Gun behind. And now Betts blames others for possibly trying to ruin her relationship with Gun. As Stef says, Betts did run off for 3 months in the newly repaired van. In the final panel Betts says she saw an opportunity and took it. Evidently, Gun wasn’t much of an opportunity.

So Bets and Stefanie are exactly alike?

STILL HASN’T BEEN EXPLAINED as to what happened prior to Gunther coming home from the trip angry and we were left to presume that he and Bets broke up, had a fight or whatever. Frankly, I wish Gunther had just dumped her and decided to be alone because she wasn’t right for him — she very clearly isn’t.

I love how Bets thinks she always right no matter what; people like that really annoy me.

Bets, you post your life details for all to see, but you’re put out by one inconvenient moment???

I’m going to give a point to Stef on that one.

With Stef you get what you see, a little flashy, a little trashy, a good time bimbo, no strings attached, satisfaction guaranteed.

I’m trying to figure out Stef’s expression in the last panel. It seems to be her responding with “EXACTLY; and what do you think I was doing?” But what opportunity did Stef take here, besides the opportunity to be an a-hole?

Bets profited off Bets & Gun getting together. Steph profited off the “breakup”, real or otherwise. Don’t hate the player, reevaluate your game, Bets.

Stef’s answering with a question in panel one is not a denial — and the way she poses in panel 3 means she takes Bets’ answer to her challenge as also an answer to Bets’ question. So yes, she absolutely was trying to ruin their relationship for the lulz — and in her ham-fisted way, she’s pointing out that Bets deserves it for running off on Gunther in the first place. The fight is on….

I like those “eye shades” on Stef. Very clever.

I glanced at the comments, all of whom were critical of Bets instantly forgetting what really happened; Bets realized her selfishness by Stef’s selfishness, although I agree Stef has a point. This is the middle of the week, so its a connector panel set. I don’t think a beatdown will occur, even though many of us would like to see it, rather an hilariously positive outcome. It does remain to be seen.

Just in time for the big family gathering day, where there will surely be disagreements, because everyone thinks they are right, and we put what we want first. I feel like we’ve ALL been clobbered by Greg and Karen.

Opportunity to travel the country and gain once-in-a-lifetime memories while young vs “opportunity” to hurt others for no particular reason. Sure. Is this supposed to be a punchline?

Other than that, I agree with other readers in that the characters no longer make sense – in fact, they stopped making sense the moment Bets went in and said “I understand why you chose Luann, you are good together”. Like wth? She was actually thinking that he was cheating on her, yet warned him not to check the website so she could have time to do damage control and stop the readers from talking bad about him? Specifically calling him a cheater? While she believed she was cheating? How does this make sense?

she didn’t do it specifically to hurt Gunther, going on a vacation is different from actively trying to break up a couple. If she didn’t go on the trip, it would have caused resentment between her and Gunther as she would feel like he’s holding her back, if he went along, it ALSO would have caused resentment as he would feel like she’s dragging him around places he doesn’t want to go. Going their separate ways for a time was the best thing to preserve their relationship (assuming they communicated during that time)

I can’t believe this strip has me taking Stef’s side. I’ve always been mostly pro-Bets, but Stef is right that she’s being hypocritical. On the other hand, just because Bets has behaved poorly doesn’t mean it’s okay for Stef to do it to!!!
