I had a sneaking suspicion she would wind up at the Gulag! There has been quite a bit of interaction between these two since the Al and Irma supper. She expressed an interest in associating more with them.

And this will have absolutely no consequence with Bets! I know that Tiffany will end up stay in the house with Al and Irma. But this doesn’t change the fact that she and Gunther will be living closer now and Bets is still pretty jealous. This is interesting!

One possibility is that Tiffany picked weasel-boy over Ox because the mouth that roared isn’t in love with her.

I knew and predicted yesterday that in the wake of Tiff’s rescue, that a patented GnK misdirection play was lurking. Well it lurked right on up! I didn’t now what for sure, but with the vanity that insecure Les was being drawn with, and the inherent sweetness and sadness of the hero OX, that something was up. Hilarity (craziness) will certainly ensue. Jeeez people simply don’t get this strip. It makes its own points, projection is perilous.

Taking Tiff back to the dorm would do nothing to speed her recovery. I know Ox means well, but not a good choice there.

Be better to tell Nancy about Tiff’s plight. Then the DeGroots can kick Bernice out, and let Tiff stay with them, and she and Luann can become friends.

My guess is that she’s actually planning on staying with Irma, with Gunther nearby for moral support. And you know Mrs. Gray will make sure “moral” is the main word, here.

Nothing against Ox but yeah no to the dorm.

Call me crazy, but I doubt if Les is the actual attraction in this scenario. Not sure what it is, but – not Les.

The whole thing is ridiculous to start with. Les has completely out of character the entire week, mouthing words that he would never say. Never mind that no college student would ever say that dialogue — but that is another whole topic about how out of touch the authors apparently are with actual college kids and college life, that I won’t get into again here.

Just know that Greg always stays one step ahead of everybody.

I’m with Ivlax. Tif going home with Les doesn’t make even comic strip sense, unless it’s to have Gunther, and/or, his Mom, help her. Les manages to take care of his kitten Punk, I really can’t see him being much help to Tiffany.

My vote is Irma…not Les & Gunther.

Okay I get that Les’s place seems weird, but it’s certainly better than Ox’s suggestion of the dorm. If a woman leaves her abusive husband and then injures herself in her motel room that night, are you gonna tell her that she should just move back in with her abuser? Tiffany left that place for good reason, and Ox just lost a lot of standing in my eyes for immediately wanting to put her back in that environment.

to probe the possibility of Ann’s involvement (via Les)? to just be in a familiar environment with friends and where she’s not alone but which is not the dorm?

Les’s pretense of being all-knowing and responsible is backfiring. He’s sold Tiff on his competency though he really doesn’t have any at all. Meanwhile Ox is the real hero. But, to our shallow minded Tiff, she looks right past the real heroes in her life.

Did somebody check her for concussion???? Go home with Les? I’m not sure the presence of Gunther would be enough to entice me to be around Les. He is going to drive her (AND Gunther) insane. And, poor OX, I know that has to hurt his feelings.

A very rational decision. The dorm is chaos with little chance of rest. The mansion is out because of fear of safety. Ox obviously doesn’t have a a place of his own. She knows she will be safe and well taken care of with Al, Irma and the boys. Her choice of words is throwing everyone off. She should explain to Ox why this is her choice. It’s not about Les, it’s about the best choice to convalesce.

Why is the cop still there? If she got an exam likely with CT scans it likely took at least a couple hours. Would HIPPA allow discussing a person’s medical condition with a 19 year old non-relative? Or did Tiffany list Les as her contact person when she checked in?

She must have hit her head harder than they think. ;-D. I know Les was “almost” her step-brother, and has helped her a couple times in the past, but somehow she feels safer with him around? I have to feel bad for Ox. Makes you wonder where this is headed. =:-o

What a twist! Bet Bets is just gonna LOVE having Tiffany living over there and being totally catered to by both Les and Gunther! She will be wishing she’d just taken Stef as her roommate now.

Well of course. If she went with the nice guy there wouldn’t be any drama.

Actually, this makes sense. She doesn’t want to be alone, but she also doesn’t want to be around the drama in the dorm. I think Ox is living in the dorms, so he wouldn’t be allowed to have her stay with him; she’d have to go back to the quad and all its drama, which is precisely what she was trying to get away from. Thus, Les is the only logical option left.

She needs to be around people for a while, since she has a concussion and only one usable hand. Everyone else has hashed over why the Gulag rather than the dorm. If Al and Irma are even home, Irma will fuss terminally over her, and what exactly would Al do? Defer to Irma, or something else? I can’t see them kicking out a hurt friend of precious Gunther, so they’d do something hospitable. She definitely needs someone to stay with her for a night and pay very close attention to her.

I do hope the fellas made a call to the Fuse to explain why they went AWOL. Can’t imagine they’re the only employees, the others could pick up the slack for a few hours. Both have to go back to work at the same time, since they went out in one vehicle. TJ and Nancy might be p.o.‘ed but they’d have to be concerned for Tiff.

PLEASE let this be the end of the Tiffany / Ox speculations. He is not the one for her. Les probably isn’t either. I think she had a real scare and it has put a lot of things into perspective – like her feelings for Gunther.

And BTW – Ox doesn’t “deserve” anything from Tiffany. She has never reciprocated toward him in any way at all. Whatever creepy obsession feelings he has are HIS PROBLEM. If he wants to quit doting over her and being her puppy dog, that will be his business as well. Everyone needs to quit with the poor Ox bs. If he isn’t smart enough to get a clue then it’s his fault, not hers.

Those injuries look like one of GnK’s famous plot devices. The real story here is Tiff’s continued slamming the door on Ox after he saves her sorry butt.

Well, that cinches it. Something has been knocked loose in Tiffany’s brain.

Hmmm – where is this going?

So…. I can prognosticate (and opinionate) on a couple of outcomes:

1. The easy/logical one is that she wants to be “comforted” by Gunther. I do think this would be a rather “boring” outcome however. The ONLY ’excitement" that IMO might arise is a fight between Tiff and Bets. But, I do not think that would be particularly fun nor enjoyable. A lot of yammering about “Tiff and Gunther” potentially copulating would also, to me, be dull.

2. Much less likely would be that Tiff wants to visit Gunther’s Mom. Now, while they have gotten along well in the past…. it does not seem like the relationship is so strong that Tiff would actually choose in particular to go to Gunther’s Mom. But, this could be interesting if Al comes back into the picture….. he is still quite an enigma.

3. Tiffany REALLY choosing to “go” with Les……. a) in the EXTREMELY UNLIKELY possibility of a “romantic”….. I think it would be rather dull for Tiff to have romantic feelings for Les, but b) perhaps….. just perhaps (yes, unlikely) when Tiff was running away from the window, she noticed and/or realized something about the intruder….. and realized it was….. dah, Dah, DAH….. Annie Eiffel. In this way, she could grill Les about potentially more recent information about Annie.

Okay, I did not see that coming.

The best cure for a concussion is “no bright lights”.So get that ham actor Les outta here.

She really did get a bad bump on the head. Poor Ox. Not what we were expecting.

Les lives with Gunther near Gunther’s mother and Bets coming by often. It does seem like a good option.

Of course! She sees Les as a brother. Her friends Gunther and Bets will be there. And she knows and trusts the adults — Mr and Mrs Grey. It’d be weird to stay with Ox as she doesn’t know his family and it’d be leading him on. Tiffany has been very clear that she’s not ready for a relationship and I would hope this incident doesn’t throw her off course.

How is it that Les knew so much about police work first, and now has become a Doctor?

Mild concussion and a bandage to look like she was really injured, as I predicted. I have been home alone with much worse and managed just fine. We will probably find out after 10 more episodes as to why she said Les. Maybe she’s just a bit confused after all the excitement. Who knows?

Gosh, in just a couple of seconds, I went from fervently wishing the doctor would order a roll of surgical tape to be applied to Les’ mouth to struggling not to barf! Even if Tiff means that she wants to go to the Gulag to be cared for by Gunther, being around Les wouldn’t be something I’d be unable to tolerate.
